The Xtream Rock Island Grand Prix, the world’s largest and most prestigious karting street race, will run for the 29^th time this August 31-September 1. In response to a number of racers, an adjustment has been made to the race’s spec tire rules.

Two months after a successful 25th running of their SuperNationals in Las Vegas, Superkarts! USA is set to begin its 2023 racing season in mid-January at the AMR Homestead-Miami Motorplex presented by MG Tires in south Florida. The sixth edition of the SKUSA Winter Series will once again be based out of the Homestead facility with two doubleheader weekends in January and February.

The date of the WSK Super Cup by MINI has been fixed to Saturday, June 10th, while the second round of the WSK Euro Series in Sarno has been postponed by one week to November 5th, 2023.

Vega, LeCont, MG, Panta and Sparco are the official suppliers for the forthcoming WSK season. The WSK 2023 racing calendar confirmed a total of 14 races with the substitution of the venue of the fourth round of WSK Super Master Series on April 30th. The race will be held in Cremona instead of Castelletto, while the third round of the WSK Open Series has been anticipated from May 7th to April 16th in Castelletto.

At the end of an exciting weekend of racing in France, Matheus Ferreira (BRA) in OK-Junior and Andrea Kimi Antonelli (ITA) in OK were the winners of the Event, giving the FIA Karting European Championship - OK & Junior a very interesting twist.

Unlike the previous event in Belgium, the twenty Qualifying Heats of the second round of the 2021 FIA Karting European Championship - OK and Junior were not disrupted by rain, even though there was a threat not far from the international circuit of Aunay-les-Bois. British Junior Freddie Slater had a perfect run as did Italian Andrea Kimi Antonelli in OK. They are the two favourites before the final heats on Sunday morning.

In France, the international circuit of Aunay-les-Bois offered good conditions this Friday afternoon for the Qualifying Practice of the second round of the FIA Karting European Championship - OK & Junior. Good weather and mild temperatures allowed all the participants to show their talent without hesitation using MG Tires slick tyres. British Driver Slater took the Junior pole position and Brazilian Camara set the fastest time in OK.

The 1^st round of the Champions of the Future, the race organized by the promoter RGMMC on the Genk track (Belgium) is over. This event is made to allow all teams and drivers to get ready for the 1^st round of the European Championship of the OK and OKJ classes, which will take place right over there from 13^th to 16^th May. All the teams carried out an intense working program, especially in order to discover MG tires for the first time, after the FIA ​​made their use official in all European Championship and World Championship races.

International karting will be on track in Portimao for the 2^nd and final race of the Champions of the Future series, on the next weekend (from Thursday 29^th October to Sunday 1^st November). It will be a very important race as it will be a test for all the teams and drivers in view of the FIA ​​World Championship for the OK and OK-Junior categories, which will be held on the same track the following week.

To say that the COVID-19 pandemic has turned the US and the world upside down would be an understatement.  The USPKS posts the following about the near future: "We hope you are all safe and healthy, and patiently waiting just like we are. We want our racers, staff, and attendees to be safe, but to also not be in fear.  We want them to have fun at the track, and not be looking over their shoulder the entire time.  To that end, we would prefer to delay the start of our racing season a little longer, so that when we do get together, we do it in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.  We don’t need to race just yet, so if waiting a little longer makes it easier to put on a better, more well attended race where people are comfortable and happy, then so be it.  We have consulted with numerous racers, track officials, series sponsors, and other stakeholders in the process, and it’s almost unanimous, that delaying the start of the 2020 racing seasons for both USPKS and Route 66 until at after July 1^st, will be worth it.  So, any races scheduled for prior to July 1^st, are postponed."

National program to offer a staggering $162,000 prize purse to be awarded in 2019. The 2019 season marks the 10th year of the sport’s only national series – the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour. Initially launched in April of 2010, the SKUSA Pro Tour has grown throughout the previous nine seasons of competition, creating lasting memories, establishing current stars in the sport, developing drivers for the professional ranks, and all while remaining the premier championship series in North America.

The 2019 racing season is officially underway for the Superkarts! USA program, as their track team hosted the first major event of the calendar year, launching the second year of the SKUSA Winter Series in Florida. Following the upcoming series finale in February at the AMR Homestead-Miami Motorplex presented by MG Tires, all of SKUSA’s attention will turn to the tenth season of the SKUSA Pro Tour and their growing ProKart Challenge programs for 2019.
