The large number of participants, 105 in OK and 119 in OK-Junior, meant that five heats were needed for each category. The two British polemen Joe Turney and Noah Baglin set very fast times and distanced themselves clearly from their rivals. The competition was tighter between the other drivers. Harrison Whitticombe later took pole position for the FIA Karting World Cup - OK-N.

As the 2024 IAME Euro Series reached its climax, the final round at Karting Genk in Belgium delivered unforgettable racing moments and high drama. Known as the “Home of Champions,” this iconic circuit hosted a weekend of intense battles among the series’ top drivers. The scattered clouds added to the challenge, making every lap crucial in the fight for the championship. Despite the unpredictable weather with rain that only slightly materialized on Friday, the drivers showcased exceptional skill and determination as they pushed their limits in the season’s final showdown.

Kart Republic has just taken the number of FIA European Karting Championship titles won in the OK category to six out of seven attempts since the Italian brand launched in 2018. At the final round in Kristianstad, Sweden, the KR-IAME packages were impressively successful: Joe Turney celebrated his first crown at this level with another win secured by a healthy margin; Fionn McLaughlin finished 3rd in the Final; Thibaut Ramaekers claimed Championship bronze in his first season in OK. In OK-Junior, Noah Baglin took 3rd place on the podium and was the top rookie in the overall standings, in which Iacopo Martinese came 3rd, as he did in 2023.

The Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship has crowned Britain's Joe Turney in OK and Belgium's Dries Van Langendonck in Junior with their performances in Sweden confirming their talent. Belgium's Gilles Herman won the FIA Karting Academy Trophy with an excellent display of maturity, while Switzerland's Dan Allemann came back brilliantly to secure 2nd place.

After 15 qualifying heats in each of the two categories of the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship OK & Junior, Thibaut Ramaekers (BEL) was leading the OK intermediate classification, while Christian Costoya (ESP) took the lead in the OK-Junior category. Dan Allemann (CHE) maintained his lead with two wins in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy, with two heats still to be contested on Sunday morning.

The KR chassis' stranglehold on the OK category continues in the highly competitive Champions of the Future Euro Series. After the season-opening one-two in Valencia, the Italian brand has now taken three consecutive one-twos in Val d'Argenton, Slovakia and Kristianstad.
