All the ingredients were there: ideal weather conditions for the season in northern Italy, a magnificent field of 250 drivers, non-stop action on the track, a large audience around the track and watching the live stream, and superb organisation masterfully led by the Franciacorta Karting Track team. Three drivers enjoyed a great first. Dutchman Senna Van Walstijn won the Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Championship - KZ, Maksim Orlov dominated the FIA Karting World Cup - KZ2 and Angelo Lombardo held off Davide Fore in the FIA Karting International Super Cup - KZ2 Masters.

After 33 Qualifying Heats run from Friday afternoon to Saturday evening, uncertainty still reigns at the Franciacorta International Circuit. Only the weather conditions seem stable under the Lombardy sun, while the sporting hierarchy has regularly changed during the exciting races. In terms of the top spot, Italy's Angelo Lombardo has taken over from his compatriot Davide Fore at the top of the FIA Karting International Super Cup - KZ2 Masters intermediate standings. On the other hand, Germany's David Trefilov managed to retain his lead in the Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Championship - KZ, as did Maksim Orlov in the FIA Karting World Cup - KZ2.

With around 250 drivers spread across three categories, it was essential to secure a good position before the start of the Qualifying Heats. Two years after the Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Championship - OK & Junior, the Italian circuit of Franciacorta is once again hosting a major global event, this time dedicated to gearbox karts. Three major titles will be awarded: the Mondokart.com KZ World Championship, the KZ2 World Cup and the KZ2 Masters International Super Cup. An exceptional field of 253 drivers, representing dozens of nationalities, is expected in northern Italy from 9th to 12th October 2025.

About 300 drivers coming from 51 different countries, all the main manufacturers and strongest teams are ready to get on track in KZ2, OK, OKJ and MINI. The Finals on Sunday, January 30th, will enjoy Live Streaming coverage.

KZ2 instead, has already crowned a winner in the single round of Lonato. Each category scores points in the Prefinal, Final as well as in the intermediate ranking of the heats of every event. In the second round, the scoring for the three racing categories has been fixed to be higher than that of the first one.

The WSK Open Cup crowns in Lonato (I) KZ2 winner Palomba (I-Birelart-TM). The other leaders Barnard (GB-KR-IAME-OK), Antonelli (I-KR-IAME-OKJ) and Tsolov (BG-Parolin-TM-60mini) are getting ready for the final sprint in Castelletto di Branduzzo (I). Final round at 7 Laghi Kart from 7^th to 10^th November.

The WSK Open Cup organised at the South Garda Karting circuit started well for the Italian brand Parolin. Its chassis for the Mini classes remains the current benchmark and a look at the result of the 60 Mini Final is enough to be convinced. Almost 40% of the finalists were equipped with a Parolin, half of them in the top 10. The two members of the Parolin Racing Kart team, Rashid Al Dhaheri and Anatoly Khavalkin, made it to the Final podium.

After hard-fought finals at the 1^st round of the WSK Open Cup at Lonato (I), KZ2 victory goes to Palomba (I-Birelart-TM). Barnard (GB-KR-IAME OK), Antonelli (I-KR-IAME OKJ) and Tsolov (BG-Parolin-TM 60 Mini) gain the first round. The closing round is scheduled in Castelletto (I), on November 10^th.

In the 1^st round of the WSK Open Cup in Lonato (I), Palomba (TM KZ2), Smal (RUS-Tony Kart-Vortex OK) and Antonelli (I - KR-IAME OKJ) Are in pole for the final day. Tomorrow, after the last 60mini heats, prefinals and finals will be streamed.
