Jac Preston has taken his first ever SP Tools Australian Kart Championship round win in KZ2 at Murray Bridge, South Australia, while Ky Burke broached the top step of the podium in KA2 for the first time since round three last year to round out the second round of the five round Title chase.

With 75 points scored, Nakamura-Berta takes the early lead in the drivers’ standings. Behind him, with 53 points, is teammate Sebastian Wheldon, who claimed victory in the opening race of the weekend, which featured his group. The son of Dan “Lionheart” Wheldon thus took his first win in the series.

After a successful launch in Spain, the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championships - OK and OK-Junior - will continue at the circuit in southern Portugal for a second meeting that promises plenty of intensity and spectacle from 1st to 4th May.
