The WSK Super Master Series is at the start with Rd1 at La Conca

The opening round of the WSK Super Master Series will take place next January 21-25 at the International Circuit La Conca in Muro Leccese. Over 300 drivers are in the provisional entry list.

Following the immense success of the three-day WSK Promotion Official Collective Tests, the La Conca International Circuit in Muro Leccese continues to serve as the global epicenter for the start of the 2026 karting season. The first round of the WSK Super Master Series—a prestigious event that attracted a massive field of over 300 drivers from all over the world—is now officially underway.

One of the most awaited events since 2010.

Since 2010, the WSK Super Master Series has stood as the first major benchmark of the international karting season. In 2026, the series reaffirms its status as a premier annual fixture for drivers in the KZ2, OK, OKJ, OK-N Junior, MINI Gr.3, and MINI Gr.3 U10 categories. Following the opener at La Conca, the season will progress through rounds in Sarno (8/2/2026), Viterbo (22/2/2026), Lonato (8/3/2026) and Franciacorta (22/3/2026).

Promising young talents on the grid

A lot of promising young drivers are taking to the track at La Conca, determined to make their mark on their future careers. They follow in the footsteps of illustrious predecessors who grace the WSK Super Master Series "Hall of Fame," including current F1 stars like Max Verstappen (2012 and 2013 winner), Andrea Kimi Antonelli (2019 champion), and Arvid Lindblad, who makes his F1 debut this year and was the WSK Super Master winner as recently as 2020. The list of past winners also features established stars such as Nicklas Nielsen, Antonio Giovinazzi, and Antonio Fuoco, alongside karting legends like Paolo De Conto, Marco Ardigò, Bas Lammers, Lorenzo Travisanutto, and Senna Van Walstijn.

A lot of novelties from La Conca.

This season opener is particularly interesting due to the arrival of new competitors across all categories, especially in the youth classes, where many drivers are stepping up to higher levels. Significant changes have also swept through the team lineups, featuring new driver signings and major technical adjustments in both chassis and engine departments. This makes the competition at La Conca essential viewing, not only for the sporting action but for the technical evolution on display.

The favourite drivers.

Following the recent tests, the top performances across the categories were recorded by the following drivers, who enter the weekend as the ones to watch: the young American Zayne Burgess (Parolin Motorsport – Parolin/TM Kart/Vega) in MINI U10, the Brit Alfie Richard Mair (Tony Kart Racing Team – Tony Kart/Vortex/Vega) in MINI Gr.3, the Italian Niccolò Perico (KR Motorsport – KA/Iame/Vega) in OK-NJ, the Brazilian Antonio Pizzonia (Ward Racing – Parolin/TM Kart/Vega) in OKJ, the home hero Luigi Coluccio (KB Racing Experience – Tony Kart/Vortex/LeCont) in OK, and the Russian Max Orlov (CPB Sport – Sodikart/TM Kart/LeCont) in KZ2.
