More incisive than ever, Christian Costoya won his first OK-Junior race at Franciacorta, where he finished 2nd in last year's World Championship. In the third round of the WSK Super Master Series, the young Spaniard was able to rely on the competitiveness of his Parolin / TM and the efficiency of the Parolin Motorsport team to experience the joy of the top step of an international podium. Sensational comebacks and other remarkable performances, such as Paolo De Conto's return to racing, added to the overall performance of the Parolin chassis at the start of the season.

Everything is now ready for the first karting event of the year, the WSK Champions Cup that will take place at South Garda Karting in Lonato from January 17 to 21, 2024. With approximately 280 drivers already confirmed, it immediately establishes itself among the favorite races to kick off the new season. For this occasion, the MINI, OKNJ, OKJ, OK and KZ2 categories take to the track, featuring the most qualified manufacturers and teams, along with many innovations in the competitive evolution of the drivers – from category transitions among the youngest to new experiences for the more experienced drivers.

With so many participants, so much at stake in the four competing categories and so many races leading up to the Finals, the 2022 FIA Karting event in Le Mans will be remembered as a pure moment of karting, full of individual exploits and team performances, offering a flamboyant spectacle during three intense days. A Swede, Viktor Gustafsson, was crowned FIA Karting World Champion - KZ and three Frenchmen were rewarded: Arthur Carbonnel, winner of the FIA Karting World Cup - KZ2, Thomas Letailleur, winner of the first FIA Karting Masters International Super Cup - KZ2 and Arthur Dorison, winner of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy.

The most important event of the season it’s finally here: the FIA ​​World Championship for the KZ and KZ2 classes will take place in Sweden on the Kristianstad track from the 2^nd to the 5^th of September. 28 top drivers will fight against each other in KZ and in this category the CRG Factory Team will line up 3 drivers with great ambitions: Jeremy Iglesias, Alex Irlando and Paolo Ippolito. Unfortunately Jaime Alguersuari had to forfeit due to the persistent pain in his ribs. The Spanish driver is expected to come back racing around the end of the season.

The Contest on CRG social channels (Facebook and Instagram) to elect the best CRG driver from 2000 to today (the last 20 years) has been very successful. In the end, however, the verdict was unequivocal: Max Verstappen is considered the strongest and most loved driver. The Dutchman scored 983 points and prevailed both in the votes obtained by Facebook and on Instagram. It should be remembered that Verstappen was recently elected by the sector press as the strongest Kart driver of the last 10 years and this further recognition underlines once again how strong and complete he is considered. Behind him, Paolo De Conto ranked with 764 points, a true recent icon of karting, a driver who has given the CRG brand dozens of international successes and who has only retired from racing earlier this season. Lewis Hamilton climbed the 3rd step of the podium, perhaps the most popular F1 driver that CRG has launched at the top of Motorsport. In the top 5 also Jonathan Thonon, 4th with 686 points and still firmly in the memory of Karting enthusiasts, while in 5th place was Robert Kubica (522 points), for which his fan club also moved en masse in the voting by sharing the Contest on their social pages.

The Coronavirus emergency stopped production, sporting events and everything that could help the virus spread, motorsport from F1 to Karting has made no exception. All FIA Karting and National Championship have been postponed to a later date and a lot of factories in this sector have shut down.

The 2020 drivers line-up will be presented in January together with the racing programmes, that will include the participation to all the FIA events and the main international meetings.

The World Karting Championship will kick off on Wednesday, September 18th at the South Garda Karting circuit. The Live Timing feed will be active since free practice on Wednesday and Thursday. The Competition, which will take place from 19th to 22nd September on the most popular Italian circuit, is, therefore, a highly anticipated event in the world of karting. The FIA ​​Karting World Championship - KZ, the FIA ​​Karting International Super Cup - KZ2, the third FIA Karting Academy Trophy Competition and the sixth edition of the FIA ​​Karting Historical Super Cup have more than 260 entries, a very high number for the most part due to the Lonato effect. 52 countries from five continents will be represented, Italy taking pride of place with nearly a quarter of the entry. A large audience of enthusiasts will be able to watch in the stands at this extraordinary event.
