In Sweden, everything is in place for a great sporting event with the 2025 Mondokart.com World Championship – OK & Junior. The rain on Thursday morning at the start of private practice quickly gave way to much more pleasant weather, and the Qualifying sessions took place in excellent conditions at the Kristianstad circuit. An initial ranking has emerged, with most of the favourites in contention. Recently crowned European Champion, Dutchman Dean Hoogendoorn set the fastest time in OK-Junior. In OK, Ireland's Daniel Kelleher was the fastest. A total of 30 Qualifying Heats are on the schedule before Sunday's Final stages.

The particularly changeable weather conditions in southern Denmark during the final round of the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship - OK & OK-Junior and the FIA Karting Academy Trophy - Senior produced many twists and turns. In OK, Sweden's Viktor Gustafsson caused a surprise by winning the Final, while Spain's Christian Costoya had enough of a lead to be crowned Champion despite retiring. The Netherlands' Dean Hoogendoorn secured a fourth place finish, enough to take the European OK-Junior Championship, while Canada's Ilie Crisan sped to victory. In the Academy-Senior class, Japan's Yuzuki Sato scored a double victory by winning the race and the title.

In all three categories, the drivers are keen to finish their European tour on a high note, with several still in contention for a prestigious international title. Already leading the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship in OK-Junior, Dutchman Dean Hoogendoorn performed excellently to emerge as the leader in the intermediate standings. In OK, Britain's Roman Kamyab retained his lead after securing pole position, while Spain's Christian Costoya has a clear chance of winning the title. In the Mondokart.com FIA European Karting Championship, Spaniard Christian Costoya extended his lead over his rivals in OK after a second consecutive victory. In OK-Junior, young Frenchman Samuel Hugon (11 years old) created a surprise by beating all the favourites, including the new Championship leader, Dutchman Dean Hoogendoorn. The French anthem was played twice on the Italian podium, with Jules Avril winning the FIA Karting Academy Trophy - Senior.

With the Prema Racing team and IAME engines, KR chassis dominated the first of four rounds of the FIA Karting European Championships in OK and OK-Junior. At Campillos in Spain, the results of the two Finals spoke for themselves: Noah Baglin won brilliantly in the youngest category ahead of his team-mate Dean Hoogendoorn and James Anagnostiadis triumphed in OK, while Dries Van Langendonck secured a second double for the Kart Republic factory.
