Sodikart confirms its supremacy at Sarno: Victory and one-two finish in KZ2

After a remarkable start to the season at La Conca, with a triple victory in the KZ2 category, the Sodi Racing Team and its partner CPB Sport set up their facilities at the Circuito Internazionale di Napoli in Sarno for the second round of the WSK Super Master Series. On this fast and demanding track, the objective was clear: to confirm the competitiveness of Sodi equipment against a now full and particularly sharp field of competitors. However, the weekend was made more complex by very changeable weather conditions, alternating between a dry track, persistent rain and heavy showers, forcing teams and drivers to constantly adapt. Between confirmations in the gearbox categories and groundwork for the development of young Mini hopefuls, this second Italian event once again illustrated the vitality and adaptability of the French manufacturer.

KZ2: Collective domination rewarded with a one-two finish

The premier class was the scene of a show of strength by the Sodi/TM chassis. The 2025 KZ World Champion, Senna Van Walstijn, masterfully transformed his pole position in the intermediate classification into a resounding victory in the Final, after having been relegated to 28th position in a turbulent Prefinal. Alongside him on the podium, Marek Skrivan took a magnificent 2nd place, confirming his steady progress throughout the weekend (+7 places in the Final).

Beyond this one-two finish, the meeting was marked by incredible comebacks that highlighted the performance of the equipment. Jean Nomblot achieved the feat of the weekend by gaining 31 places, moving up from 42nd position in Qualifying to 11th place in the Final. Jayden Thien also impressed with a gain of 21 places to finish 8th, while Max Orlov moved up from 21st to 5th place (+16). Alvar Siimesvaara completes the picture with a solid progression of 17 places to finish 19th.

Paul Bizalion, CPB Sport Team Manager

"This second round of the WSK Super Master Series is a great satisfaction for the entire Sodi Racing Team and CPB Sport. The work carried out by the team, combined with the performance of the Sodikart chassis, enabled us to be highly competitive throughout the weekend.

Achieving a double victory with Senna Van Walstijn in 1st place and Marek Skrivan in 2nd place is a fitting reward for the entire staff. After La Conca, another triple victory was also within reach, but a spoiler penalty thwarted Dion Van Werven's excellent result. Placing ten drivers in the Final, including six in the top 10, against a field of nearly sixty competitors, remains a remarkable achievement. All our top drivers, such as Max Orlov and Jean Nomblot, rose to the challenge despite the very changeable weather conditions.

On the technical side, our engine manufacturers Cédric Sport and Sani Competition did a great job for the debut of the new TM R3 engine homologation. While there is still room for improvement to optimise this package, the overall result remains very positive. We leave Sarno at the front of the championship with a strong and united group of drivers, which remains our greatest source of pride.”

Mini U10 and GR3: An encouraging rise to prominence

In the Mini categories, the team's young talents showed great determination. In Mini U10, Albert Pharoah had a very good Final: starting in 18th place, he overtook 11 competitors to cross the finish line in an impressive 7th place. In Mini GR3, Alfie Garrett showed great maturity to clinch a top 10 finish, confirming the technical progress made since the La Conca event. Arthur Pharoah (20th) and Amine Pantoli (21st) also showed interesting potential, particularly in the Qualifying Heats.

Adrien Leidinger, Sodikart Team Manager

"The overall result is positive because we saw some real performance from Alfie Garrett and Amine Pantoli, who qualified in the top 15 in GR3, and Arthur Pharoah in 22nd place. The work done by the factory between La Conca and Sarno has paid off with a much more advanced package. I am particularly proud of Albert Pharoah's resilience in U10, who, despite his young age, finished 7th in the final. We have real potential, both in dry and wet conditions, which gives us a lot of confidence for the rest of the 2026 programme."

The weekend in Sarno confirms Sodikart's position as a key player in world karting. Between its domination in KZ2 and its clear progress in Mini, the whole team leaves with the satisfaction of a job well done and the humility needed to tackle the challenges ahead. Without transition, the Sodi Racing Team is now heading to Viterbo, where the first round of the WSK Euro Series awaits this weekend, a new chapter in what promises to be an exciting 2026 season.
