The FIA European Karting Championship for gearbox categories concluded from 2nd to 5th July at the Circuito Internazionale Napoli in Sarno. Following an intense weekend, the Sodi drivers left Italy with two podium finishes, a track record and a European runners-up title. In KZ, Matteo Spirgel secured 2nd place in the Final, whilst Jean Nomblot etched his name at the very top of the circuit’s record books. In KZ2, Matheus Morgatto took 3rd place on the podium with the fastest lap in the Final, bringing to a close a title battle that kept the paddock on the edge of their seats right to the very end, decided by a mere twelve points.

The second and final round of the FIA European Championship, held in Sarno, confirmed CRG’s position at the sharp end of the KZ categories. During the decisive weekend in Italy, Viktor Gustafsson finished 5th in the Final after securing pole position for the Super Heat at the end of the heats, ultimately closing the championship in 3rd place, just 12 points behind the winner.

Emilien Denner dominated the weekend in Sarno, taking pole position before winning every heat, the Super Heat and the Final, with the fastest lap, to become the new FIA Karting European KZ Champion.

It is time to take stock after the opening round of the 2026 E4 Championship at Vallelunga. Already leading the Italian Formula 4 Championship, US Racing’s Luka Sammalisto has also established himself at the top of the standings in the Formula 4 series promoted by ACI Sport and WSK Promotion, leaving the opening weekend as championship leader.

The two standout stars of the second and final gearbox round of the 2026 Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship won not only the event but also the title at Sarno today (5 July) – as Emilien Denner and Kimi Tani sped to glory under the scorching southern Italian sun.

The third and final round of the WSK Euro Series will take place from Wednesday 8th to Saturday 11th at the Cremona Circuit with about 280 drivers. Decisive duels are expected in all categories.

Championship leader Nikita Bedrin stormed to his fourth victory of the season in race two at the Hungaroring this morning, while Flynn Jackes triumphed in the event finale this evening.
 

Rashid Al Dhaheri secured his third victory of the season at the Hungaroring – and his first in a full-points race – to strengthen his lead in the FIA Formula Regional European Championship standings. The R-ace GP driver, who had claimed his maiden pole position of the year in Qualifying 2, controlled the second and final race of the fifth round of the season from start to finish.

Following the dominant performance delivered in Genk by the CRG Racing Team, which claimed victory in the KZ race with Adrian Malheiro and came very close to a sensational one-two finish with Viktor Gustafsson — who was stopped by contact with his teammate just a few corners from the chequered flag — expectations are very high for the decisive home round. Nothing can be taken for granted, given the extremely competitive level of the opposition, but the pre-race testing sessions have once again confirmed the full potential of the CRG-TM technical package. The team will work with its usual determination to bring the title home.

In the ACI Karting Italian Championship, the Modena Kart Racing Team once again fought hard at the front of the field at Sarno in the OK-N Junior class. Radu Basescu Pricop and Ioannis Kolovos put in strong performances, confirming their places in the top five of the overall standings with two rounds remaining. At the “Circuito Internazionale Napoli”, Danila Verba secured the team’s best result at the wheel of his Parolin-TM Kart. He, too, has moved into the top 10 of the Championship.

Round 3 of the 2026 Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy concluded today at Karting Genk: The Home of Champions, after an action-packed Finals Day. Although temperatures were slightly cooler than in the previous days, the intensity on track rose immediately, with 14 races delivering close battles and several decisive moments across the seven categories.

Round 3 of the IAME Euro Series came to Prokart Raceland Wackersdorf under some of the most demanding conditions of the season — record temperatures for Germany at this time of year, with 36°C on the grid by the time the finals got underway.
