A four-way title showdown awaits at Hockenheim, which this weekend hosts the eighth and final round of an FIA Formula Regional European Championship season that has seen five different drivers lead the standings.

Behind him, Oleksandr Bondarev finished second on his series debut with Van Amersfoort Racing, also taking top honours in the Rookie class, while CL Motorsport’s Reno Francot took third, returning to the podium for the first time since his home race at Zandvoort last May.

Emanuele Olivieri converted pole position into victory in the opening race of the Imola weekend, claiming his second win of the season, mathematically securing the Rookie title and moving into the lead of the FIA Formula Regional European Championship standings.

The unfamiliar 1,647-metre circuit provided exactly the test expected of it. Drivers faced intense heat, tightly packed racing and drama as the penultimate round of the 2026 Champions of the Future Academy Program International Series began at the Aspar Circuit.

The ProKart Challenge will make its second ever visit to the Spring Mountain Karting Complex. The program travels to the Pahrump, Nevada course over the September 12-13 weekend for Round Five of the Superkarts! USA regional championship series.

There's been a trend within the Champions Of The Future Academy Program in 2026: sending drivers to new, uncharted terrain to test their ability to learn and adapt, and this weekend continues that trend. Van Amersfoort Racing (VAR) is pleased to announce that Oleksandr ‘Sasha’ Bondarev will join the team for the final two rounds of the 2026 FIA Formula Regional European Championship (FREC) season. The Ukrainian driver will replace Francisco Macedo following a mutually agreed decision between Macedo and the team.

The KR Motorsport team split into two groups on the last weekend of August, as the opening round of the WSK Final Cup at Franciacorta coincided with the Grand Prix Karting KZ event at Le Mans.

After three days of Free Practice, Timed Qualifying and no fewer than 18 Qualifying Heats, everything at Genk built towards the final day. Six Super Heats set the grids before three Finals brought the event, the 2026 season and the IAME Euro Series’ tenth-anniversary year to a spectacular conclusion.

The winners of the Finals are: Burns (OKN), Moehring (OKNJ), Miras (MINI U10), El Gahoudi (MINI Gr3), Perico (OKJ), and Krutogolov (OK).

The WSK Final Cup will consist of three events, accompanying teams and drivers through the end of the season. Action gets underway on the weekend of August 30th at the Franciacorta Karting Track, featuring the MINI, OKNJ, OKN, OKJ, and OK categories.

The first round of the WSK Final Cup at the Franciacorta Karting Track features the first thrilling challenges among the 300 drivers in this major international karting event organized by WSK Promotion. The championship, which has represented the season finale since 2011 following the WSK Super Master Series and WSK Euro Series, will conclude with two subsequent rounds in Lonato and Viterbo.
