The third season of the Champions of the Future Academy International Series gets underway this week in Spain, with the opening round hosted at the technical and demanding Kartodromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero. At 1,428 metres, the Chiva circuit is long enough to reward bravery, technical enough to challenge drivers and wide enough to encourage ambition into Turn 1.

In almost all national markets, the 2026 karting season is already getting underway. It has also had an international prologue with the first WSK meetings, before entering the heart of the season with the FIA Karting championships.

After the positive experience in the final two rounds of the 2025 WSK Final Cup in Cremona and Lonato, Davide Bottaro has been confirmed by Lenovo as the lead driver of the Kalì Kart partnership project within the CRG Group. Davide will compete in the OK category with an intense racing programme, focusing primarily on FIA Karting events (European Championship and World Championship), alongside participation in the Champions of the Future and a selection of WSK events.

On the eve of the first seasonal appointment scheduled for next weekend with Round 1 of the WSK Master at Muro Leccese, the CRG Racing Team has officially announced its drivers for the direct-drive OK and OKJ categories.

The Macau event marked a major milestone for the Champions of the Future Academy Program, becoming not only its first event in this country but also its debut in this part of the world.

The 2026 International Karting season has already begun. Next week, with the first tests at the Muro Leccese track, engines will officially fire up for a new and exciting season of racing. The CRG colours will once again be represented across every category by the CRG Racing Team, the racing squad which — in the company’s 40th anniversary year — aims to further enrich its prestigious palmarès, which currently boasts 27 World titles and 25 FIA World Cups.

Within CRG’s headquarters, the guidelines for the first full season that the Lenovo Kalì Kart team will face in 2026 have been outlined. The official Kalì Kart team (a brand owned by CRG), which has been racing under the prestigious colors of its title sponsor Lenovo since last September, looks to 2026 with high ambitions, bringing to the track a broad and structured project focused particularly on youth categories.

Ahead of the start of the next racing season, their sports division presents the 28 drivers who will take part in the main international competitions in the MINI, OKJ-N, OKJ, OK, and KZ/KZ2 categories.

The international karting community was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of six-time World Champion Mike Wilson, who died on 5 January 2026 at the age of 66. With his passing, kartsport has lost not only one of its most accomplished competitors but also a true ambassador whose influence shaped karting for more than four decades.

The Italian group will play a leading role in the newly created FIA Karting Arrive & Drive European Championship and FIA Karting Arrive & Drive Asian-Pacific Championship over the next two years, supplying Kosmic Kart chassis and Vortex Engines

As in 2024, the magnificent Al Forsan International Sports Resort circuit in Abu Dhabi will have the honour of bringing Season 2 of the 2025 Champions of the Future Academy Program to a spectacular conclusion. From 1st to 3rd December, the three categories OK-N Senior, OK-N Junior and Mini will feature extremely competitive fields, proof of the appeal of the ‘Arrive and Drive’ concept implemented by RGMMC.

In the United Arab Emirates, numerous drivers took part in the fifth and penultimate round of the Champions of the Future Academy Program, confirming the success of the series and its "arrive and drive" concept. The objective of complete sporting fairness was once again achieved, allowing drivers to make their mark in a high-level competition, organised with rigour and professionalism by RGMMC.

OTK Kart Group confirms its key role as technical partner in the first edition of the competition promoted by the FIA, providing all drivers with Kosmic Kart chassis, Vortex engines and Vega tyres.

When the FIA announced earlier this year that the first-ever Karting Arrive and Drive World Cup would come to the Asia-Pacific region, accessibility, affordability and inclusion were set at the heart of what has been a landmark event on the International Sporting Calendar. 
 

Budding racers from across the world descend on the LYL International Circuit for the inaugural FIA Karting Arrive and Drive World Cup, held over 14 - 16 November 2025. 107 drivers aged 12 - 19 will compete over the course of the weekend in what is set to be a closely fought competition between the next generation of racing champions.

The global event held in Italy gave the IPK Group the opportunity to demonstrate the efficiency of its chassis and the expertise of the teams representing the Praga and Formula K brands. David Trefilov, who took pole position, dominated the KZ World Championship for much of the race but suffered an incident in the Final. Just off the podium, Marek Skřivan finished in the top five of the KZ2 World Cup and Davide Fore finished runner-up in the KZ2 Masters International Super Cup!

Once again, the CRG colors proved to be among the stars of the KZ category, taking 2nd place in the FIA World Championship held in Italy. On the Franciacorta track, Viktor Gustavsson was crowned World Vice Champion, continuing CRG’s long-standing tradition of strong results in the “top class” of shifter karting.

The World Championship event in Franciacorta will undoubtedly remain one of the most memorable FIA Karting events of recent years. All the ingredients were there: ideal weather conditions for the season in northern Italy, a magnificent field of 250 drivers, non-stop action on the track, a large audience around the track and watching the live stream, and superb organisation masterfully led by the Franciacorta Karting Track team. Three drivers enjoyed a great first. Dutchman Senna Van Walstijn won the Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Championship - KZ, Maksim Orlov dominated the FIA Karting World Cup - KZ2 and Angelo Lombardo held off Davide Fore in the FIA Karting International Super Cup - KZ2 Masters.

The Italian circuit of Franciacorta is once again hosting a major global event, this time dedicated to gearbox karts. Three major titles will be awarded: the Mondokart.com KZ World Championship, the KZ2 World Cup and the KZ2 Masters International Super Cup. An exceptional field of 253 drivers, representing dozens of nationalities, is expected in northern Italy.
