The first FIA Karting competition in the history of the Leopard circuit in Viterbo got off to a sunny start, with excellent initial feedback from the competitors. In Italy, Friday's Qualifying sessions proved particularly interesting to follow with 197 drivers entered, and extremely close gaps in the three categories represented.

Parolin Motorsport was again in the ascendant in the third round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series at Viterbo with another win from Christian Costoya in the OK category, consolidating his position as the top-ranked international kart racer. This time the Spanish driver didn’t have it all his own way, but he moved into the lead of the series with a masterful Final win, backed up by strong performances from his team-mates.

Young driver Noah Wolfe continues to demonstrate his versatility at the highest level. Competing at Viterbo in Round 3 of the Champions of the Future Euro Series, he finished a solid 5th in the OK category, despite a technical problem in the Super Heat, which put the brakes on his ambitions.
 

During the third round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series, the drivers and teams defending the Kart Republic colours in OK and OK-Junior were able to learn the Viterbo circuit on Maxxis tyres and gather valuable information for the FIA Karting European Championship. Some excellent technical solutions were found, as Irishman Daniel Kelleher and Belgian Thibaut Ramaekers were able to prove with their magnificent recoveries to 2nd and 3rd positions in OK. In OK-Junior, Great Britain's Noah Baglin once again fought his way to the front.

The IPK group has just made an admirable start to the FIA Karting European Championships for KZ and KZ2, which got underway in Valencia. The results speak for themselves: fastest race laps, victories in the heats, a podium in the Final and, above all, a brilliant result for the team as a whole, with a very high level of performance on the Spanish circuit for the IPK chassis, whether in Formula K or Praga colours.

In Valencia, the sensational results obtained at the Champions of the Future Shifter event were confirmed more than ever for Sodikart during the first round of the 2025 FIA Karting European Championship: Three drivers in the top five, two on the podium and victory for Max Orlov in KZ2. CPB Sport and the Sodi / TM machines have already taken the lead in the Team Championship. The drivers entered in KZ also battled at the front throughout the Spanish competition.
 

The first round of the European KZ Championship in Valencia was a success for Birelart Racing. Pedro Hiltbrand showed total mastery, winning the KZ Final by more than 3.2 seconds, confirming the effectiveness of the development work carried out by Birelart in the run-up to the season. Cristian Bertuca backed up this success by taking 3rd place on the podium and setting the fastest lap of the race. In KZ2, almost a third of the field chose the Birelart chassis, with four drivers in the top 10, including Corentin Rousseau, who finished 6th, among other outstanding results.

A new championships coordinator has taken up his duties at the start of the 2025 season. The 49-year-old Dane Jesper Carlsen comes to the job with a wealth of motor sport experience. A kart driver for over a decade, including a Danish Championship to and excellent results in the CIK-FIA European Championship in the 90’s, Jesper Carlsen continued his career in the sport by winning the Danish Formula Ford Championship, before going on to shine in Formula 3 and the Porsche Supercup. Professionally, his skills have led him to work in many fields: marketing and sponsorship consultant, coach and manager of young drivers, championship promoter, team manager, public relations, TV consultant and TV content producer.

With their powerful 125cc engines with gearboxes and Dunlop 'prime' tyres, they offer very high performance and should guarantee the maximum spectacle for the opening event on the Lucas Guerrero international circuit, located at Chiva near Valencia. It will also be the first of three competitions for the Junior Academy Trophy, which will be celebrating its 16th season!

The weather remained sunny in the Valencia region, with temperatures rising for the day's Qualifying Heats. Drivers and machines were put through their paces in Saturday's 13 races, which produced a large number of passes and twists and turns. In the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship, Spaniard Pedro Hiltbrand in KZ and Maksim Orlov in KZ2 retained the leads they had gained in Qualifying. They will need to consolidate their positions in the Super Heats on Sunday morning, followed by the Finals, if they are to continue their winning run. In the Academy Trophy - Junior, Ecuador's Julian Rivera Salas took over from Mexico's Luis Fer Nunez at the top of the intermediate standings.
