Valencia Ready: Free Practice Complete, Racing Next!

Two full days of free practice are in the books at Kartódromo Lucas Guerrero, and the paddock of the Champions of the Future Academy Program is officially up to speed.

Drivers have now received their season karts, Parolin / TM for Mini and Kart Republic / IAME for OK-N Junior and OK-N Senior, along with their VEGA tyre allocation for the weekend. As per the Academy format, engines are assigned by lottery and change each day, ensuring the level playing field that defines the series.

With equipment understood, tyres scrubbed in, and Valencia’s flowing layout mastered, the field is now fully acclimatised and ready for two decisive race days ahead — each one featuring warm up, timed qualifying, Qualifying Heat 1, Qualifying Heat 2, and a full-distance Final.

In Mini, the merged free practice times saw Wynn Godschalk at the top of the order, closely followed by Charles Clough and Guillem Coll Sales. Margins were razor-thin throughout the sessions, a clear sign that the fight in the Parolin / TM package will be intense from the very first qualifying laps.

The Junior category delivered equally close lap times, with Hernán Rodriguez De La Fuen leading the combined times. Alba Cueva García and Lorenzo Zucchetto were right in the mix, keeping the pressure on throughout the sessions. With the Kart Republic / IAME machinery now dialled in, the Juniors look ready for an explosive start to qualifying.

In Senior, Kacper Rajpold topped the merged practice order, narrowly ahead of Veer Chopra and Elias Lehmann. The pace across the category suggests we are heading for high-level battles once the official sessions begin.
