Rajpold, Coigny & Sami Seal Valencia as Round 1 Closes in Style

Round 1 of the 2026 International Series concluded in Valencia with high expectations following Saturday’s intense action and Sunday delivered once again. Under slightly cloudy skies, drivers returned to the track for a decisive final day, where margins were measured in tenths and the opening weekend standings were settled.

Coigny Controls the Weekend

Zoltan Coigny secured the OK-N Junior pole in Sunday qualifying ahead of Christian Faye Lund and Andie Stewart. Across the heats, consistency proved decisive, with Coigny topping the classification to secure the inside line for the Final, ahead of the chasing pack.

In the Final, Coigny converted that advantage into victory. Axel Nocom finished just 0.087s behind after a late charge, while Stewart completed the podium. Diar Islami and Nekmouche Neil rounded out the top five as Coigny left Valencia leading the opening weekend standings.

Provisional Result After Post-Race Drama

Charles Clough led Mini's qualifying ahead of Ilyas Sami and Maximilian Schilling, with Wynn Godschalk and Muhammad Wibowo completing a tightly packed top five. The margins were minimal throughout the session, and after the heats the leading group remained closely matched.

On track, Wynn Godschalk crossed the line first in a decisive performance; however, a post-race penalty led to his disqualification from the Final. As a result, Ilyas Sami was declared the official winner, with Maximilian Schilling classified second. The result remains provisional, as Godschalk has submitted his intention to appeal. The podium ceremony, therefore, took place with only Sami and Schilling present.

In U10, Zev Godschalk led the way in the Final classification.

Rajpold Takes Victory After Late Reshuffle

Ina Karine Rostad was the fastest OK-N Senior in qualifying, ahead of Kacper Rajpold and Michal Zajac. However, after bad luck in the first heat, she was unable to continue, leaving the fight for victory wide open.

In the Final, Jagrat Detroja crossed the line first on track, but a post-race penalty reshuffled the result. Rajpold was therefore declared the official winner, ahead of Vanesa Silkunaite and Zajac. Veer Chopra and Brupbacher Julian completed the top five in the final classification.

Wildcard entries for Round 2 in Greece — as well as season entries for the remaining five races — are now open on the official website. The fight continues.
