Rain on Saturday reshuffled the deck, sometimes changing the rankings and causing a few incidents in the pack. In all categories, many drivers believe they have a chance of victory. At this stage, Italians Manuel Scognamiglio in OK-N and Gioele Girardello in OK-N Junior, as well as Frenchman Maël Le Marchand in Academy - Junior, are leading the intermediate rankings.

The 211 participants started the Free Practice sessions with great ambitions, despite changing weather conditions throughout the sessions. The Cremona track was not completely dry when some of the drivers took to the track for Qualifying, forcing the teams to make difficult choices. In the Lombardy region of Italy, South African William Marshall in OK-N, Italian Gioele Girardello in OK-N Junior and Lithuanian Nojus Stasionis in Academy-Junior achieved the fastest times.

From today until Sunday, September 28, the Cremona Circuit in Italy will host the FIA World Cup for the OKN and OKN Junior categories. Emiliano Hernandez has just had 10 very important days in his career as a young Mexican motorsport hopeful. Competing in only his first season in Junior in FIA Karting, the 13-year-old driver proved himself capable of competing with the world's best. Competing for Spanish team DPK Racing, equipped with a Fernando Alonso Kart chassis and now supported by Aston Martin F1, he delivered two top-level performances in the space of a week: both in the Champions of the Future Euro Series and then in the World Championship at the Kristianstad circuit in Sweden, with front row starts, victories in Qualifying Heats and fastest laps. The 2025 FIA Karting World Championship for the OK and OK-Junior categories took place from 11th to 14th September at the historic Åsum Ring in Kristianstad, Sweden. As always at this level, the sporting intensity was at its peak, with a world title awarded on a single event, in an atmosphere combining suspense and twists and turns. The unpredictable weather on the south-east coast of Sweden did nothing to make things easier for the 217 drivers taking part (109 in OK-Junior, 108 in OK), adding an element of uncertainty to the competition.

What a season for Energy Corse! The team has delivered a string of top-level performances since the start of the season in various categories, particularly in OK and Junior. In Kristianstad, Sweden, Lev Krutoholov took 3rd place on the podium in OK after a perfectly controlled race by the Ukrainian. This performance is comparable to that achieved just a year earlier at the World Championship in the United Kingdom by Matthew Higgins. More than ever, Energy Corse remains a benchmark on the international scene, capable of beating the biggest teams.

KR-IAME teams dominated the FIA Karting World Championship in Kristianstad. In OK, Thibaut Ramaekers had a perfect Final to beat Joe Turney. In OK-Junior, Noah Baglin led from start to finish and was joined on the podium by two other drivers equipped with KR chassis. The technical and sporting decisions taken by the Kart Republic factory clearly contributed to this exceptional overall result, while ensuring that satellite teams had highly competitive equipment.

The season’s most important event for the OK and OK Junior categories concluded at the Kristanstad circuit in Sweden. After last year’s OK title in England, the CRG Racing team arrived in Sweden ready to fight for top results again. Despite strong pace throughout the weekend, the decisive step for a podium finish in Sunday’s Finals was just missing.

The Kristianstad circuit crowned two promising young motorsport talents at the Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Championship - OK & Junior. No stranger to the podium at major international events, Belgium's Thibaut Ramaekers claimed the top spot this afternoon. A year after losing the title on the last lap, Britain's Noah Baglin bounced back in OK-Junior, dominating his rivals at the decisive moment of the competition.
