The qualifying heats of the 2026 Rotax MAX Challenge Winter Cup came to a close today at KartCenter Campillos under dramatically changed weather conditions. After yesterday’s stable sunshine, drivers faced wind, cold temperatures and rain, reshuffling the competitive order across all categories.
In Mini MAX, Joshua Cooke (KR Sport) maintained his leadership with a perfect record of three wins out of three. Behind him, a strong recovery drive saw Austin Oman from Sam Pollitt Racing climb from fifth to second overall, ahead of Logan Rolfe (KR Sport) and Mik Klinkers (Hunter Motorsport).
Junior MAX proved to be a challenging heat phase for pole sitter Luan Seidl (KR Sport), who slipped down to 11th overall. The leadership changed hands, with Zdenek Babicek (Dan Holland Racing) moving to the top, closely followed by Lithuanian driver Majus Mazinas (KR Sport). Third overall is Jason Chlack (MLC Motorsport).
In Senior MAX, Macauley Bishop (Dan Holland Racing) delivered a highly consistent heat phase. With one victory and two second places, the 2025 RMC Grand Finals winner retains the championship lead ahead of Jeremy Reuvers (Karting Club Campillos) and Scott Marsh (Strawberry Racing).
In DD2, the spotlight remains firmly on the duel between Antoine Barbaroux (Privateer) and Wout Kurstjens (Daems Racing). After qualifying third, Barbaroux has taken control of the category heading into the final day. In DD2 Masters, Nicolas Picot (Privateer) continues to be the benchmark driver.
Tomorrow will see the first title of the 2026 season awarded, with the spectacle of the Prefinals and Finals set to decide the Winter Cup winners. Live coverage will be available via official broadcast channel, the Rotax MAX
