The Tony Kart Racing Team faces the second round of the WSK Super Master Series, taking third place in OK class with Jindrich Pesl, who sets the fastest time in the qualifyings. The Racer 401 T chassis also gained first place in the OKJ category’s final.
The Tony Kart Racing Team continues its winning start of the 2026 season. At the Naples International Circuit in Sarno (Italy), venue of the second round of the WSK Super Master Series, the Tony Kart Racer 401 T takes the pole position and finishes third in the OK category, with the technical support of the Vortex Engines (the engine division of OTK Kart Group). The ‘Racer’ also wins prominent positions in OKJ and OKJ-N classes, while the Tony Kart Rookie repeatedly excels throughout the weekend in the MINI Gr.3 and MINI Gr.3 U10 categories.
In OK, the weekend gets off to a great start, with Jindřich Pešl taking the pole position in the qualifyings. The Czech driver also scores a victory in the qualifying heats and wins the B pre-final, results that allow him to start from the front row in the final. Despite starting from the outside line, Pešl immediately takes control of the race and remains in contention for victory until the chequered flag, finishing third. Thanks also to his podium finish in the first round at Muro Leccese, their driver is the current championship leader, with a total of 135 points.
In his second appearance with the Racing Team, Endo Arata achieves significant results over the weekend: fourth place in his group in the chrono practices and third place as his best finish in the qualifying heats. On the other hand, thanks to an unlucky qualifying session, Ilie Tristan Crisan stands out with a comeback of 39 positions in the intermediate standings after the heats. The Japanese and Canadian drivers take part in the final, also attended by Thomas Pradier. Iskender Zulfikari and Gabriel Canal work closely with their staff, constantly improving their performance.
In OKJ, after the qualifying heats won with a third place as his best result, Julian Frasnelli won the B pre-final on Sunday morning and is in contention for a leading role in the final. In the last race of the weekend, the Italian driver is constantly battling for the top positions, but several collisions in the final laps penalise him; nevertheless, he takes home a valuable top-10 finish in a race won by a Tony Kart Racer 401 T.
Henri-Constant Kumpen, able to climb 21 positions between qualifyings and the pre-finals, narrowly misses a place in the top ten of the final. Martin Luis Bertolaccini and Jean Poujol distinguish themselves with the second fastest time of group 2 in the chrono practices and a 16-place comeback in heat A-B, respectively. Both their drivers compete in the final, which also sees Oiva Vettenranta at the track. Antonio Ianni, Stepan Mazepin and Yubo Wen achieve interesting lap times ahead of the next rounds.
In OKJ-N, the rookie Victor Thomas Gorun wins third place in the qualifying heats, the second one in pre-final B and finishing again in the top 10 of the final. Augustin Feligioni also takes third place in the qualifying heats and finishes behind Gorun and Valentino Manassero in Sunday afternoon's final race. Bruno Fu makes his debut with the sports division.
In the MINI Gr.3 class, Alfie Richard Mair and Zane Pace are the two main drivers for the entire weekend. Mair narrowly misses the pole position in the qualifyings, finishing fastest in the second group, and scores two wins and a third place in the heats, as well as winning the A Prefinal. The Maltese driver, on the other hand, scores three top-three finishes in the heats, plus a third place in the B Prefinal. Starting from the first and third positions of the grid in the final, the two drivers are running for victory from the opening lap, but a frantic race in the final laps sees Pace and Mair finish fourth and fifth, respectively. Nahil Padovani, Alvaro Medeiros and David Aagten continue their experience with the racing department, with the Spanish and the Brazilian drivers lining up at the start of the final.
In the MINI Gr.3 U10, Blake Hsueh – their only representative in the category – gains the third place in the last heat on Saturday and a third place on the starting grid of the final. During the race, he manages to take the lead at one point, but several close contests with his rivals prevent him from ending the weekend on a high note.
There will be no break for the Tony Kart Racing Team, which will be back in action this weekend (11th-14th February) in Viterbo for the first round of the WSK Euro Series.
