Road to Wackersdorf – International Shifter-Kart Race before the World Champs

From 20-23 July at Prokart Raceland Wackersdorf

2023, the world's karting elite will be guests in Wackersdorf at the beginning of September for the FIA Kart World Championship. A few weeks before, the DMSW will hold a preparatory race at the same location from 20-23 July. The races will be held in accordance with the CIK-FIA regulations and adapted to the schedule of the World Championship as a four-day event. The classes KZ, KZ2 and KZ2 Masters are announced.

After six years, the World Karting Championship returns to Germany. From 7-10 September, the drivers in the shifter kart classes will be competing for the highest title in karting worldwide. To prepare perfectly for the mega-event, the DMSW is organizing a singles event with the organization team of the German Kart Championship.

The ROAD TO WACKERSDORF gives drivers and teams the chance to prepare for the World Championship under real racing conditions. The race will take place from 20-23 July 2023 in Wackersdorf and is based on the rules and procedure of the World Championship. The same tires and identical race fuel will be used. The event will also comprise four race days: practice on Thursday, qualifying and the first heats on Friday, the heats will continue Saturday. On Sunday, the finals will be held.

The CIK classes KZ, KZ2 and KZ2 Masters will be held. This way, the participants can measure themselves against their direct competitors. All further information, the regulations and the link to the online entry will be published shortly at www.kart-dm.de.
