FRECA: Enzo Deligny tops second Pre-Event Collective Test at Zandvoort

The second Pre-Event Collective Test at Zandvoort saw changing weather conditions shape the course of the session, with drivers clocking their fastest laps in the opening minutes before heavy rain swept over the Dutch circuit. The 90-minute session was marked by three red flags and offered limited opportunities for improvements once the track became fully wet.

Enzo Deligny (R-ace GP) emerged as the fastest overall, setting the benchmark time of 1:30.918, also the quickest of the day across both sessions. Just behind him, ART Grand Prix’s Kanato Le and Saintéloc Racing’s Nikita Bedrin were split by a mere five-thousandths of a second, securing second and third, respectively.

Dion Gowda (Van Amersfoort Racing) followed in fourth place, with teammate Hiyu Yamakoshi in fifth. Pedro Clerot ensured a strong presence for VAR in the top six, while ART’s Taito Kato placed seventh ahead of Akshay Bohra (R-ace GP). Championship leader Matteo De Palo (Trident) ended the session ninth with a best lap of 1:31.795, while Rashid Al Dhaheri (Prema Racing) completed the top ten, just ahead of CL Motorsport’s Michael Belov.

The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine will return to action tomorrow, Friday, at 8:00 AM with the weekend's first official Collective Test session.
