Parolin Motorsport and its partner teams enjoyed a standout opening round of the WSK Euro Series at Leopard Circuit Viterbo (12–14 February), converting front-running pace into three Final victories. Sasha Miras Y Munoz (Babyrace Driver Academy) took the win in Mini U10, Colton Schniegenberg (Ward Racing) won OK-N Junior, and Qarrar Firhand (Ward Racing) claimed victory in OK, where Ward Racing and Parolin also sealed a 1-2 finish with Benjamin Manach in 2nd.
The weekend was defined by rapidly changing conditions: Thursday Qualifying was run in the wet, Friday’s heats took place largely in fine spring conditions, and Saturday’s Finals were hit by further downpours, with race lengths reduced following a rain delay. In OK-N Junior, Parolin’s strength was underlined by a 100% Parolin podium, as Schniegenberg led home Modena Kart drivers Ioannis Kolovos and Elton Hedfors.
Three Finals won on Parolin equipment
In Mini U10, Babyrace Driver Academy’s Sasha Miras Y Munoz delivered a commanding performance from pole position, leading every lap to take the Final victory. Parolin Motorsport’s Zayne Burgess completed a strong weekend with 2nd place in the Final, while Babyrace’s Isaac El Haouti added further top-end depth with 4th. Babyrace also produced two major recovery drives: Jake Jordan Micallef climbed 14 places to finish 7th, and Max Zvarich gained 12 places to finish 10th.
Ward Racing’s Colton Schniegenberg controlled the OK-N Junior Final from the front to secure a decisive victory, leading every lap. The result capped a remarkable category performance for the brand: more than a quarter of the grid raced on Parolin chassis and the podium was 100% Parolin, with Modena Kart Racing drivers Ioannis Kolovos and Elton Hedfors joining Schniegenberg on the podium in 2nd and 3rd. Modena’s Alessandro Nanni completed the leading group in 4th, with team-mate Federico Mirabella charging through to 10th, gaining 11 places.
In OK, Ward Racing’s Qarrar Firhand delivered a composed wet-weather drive to win the Final for his first international victory, with team-mate Benjamin Manach completing a superb Parolin 1-2 finish.
Strength and depth across the weekend
Ward Racing continued its momentum in OK Junior with Antonio Pizzonia Jr climbing 10 places to finish 6th in the Final. Mark Pilipenko added a top-ten with 8th, while Blazej Kostrzewa finished 13th.
In Mini Gr.3, Babyrace Driver Academy’s Nahyl El Gahoudi secured a well-earned 3rd place in the Final and set the fastest lap of the event on Saturday, underlining the outright speed of the package in mixed conditions.
Ilia Mazo (Parolin Motorsport) finished 19th after running strongly in Qualifying with 9th overall, in what was an important step forward in experience, while Lenox Lockhart completed his debut weekend in 28th.
Marco Parolin said: “Viterbo was a true mixed-conditions weekend, and the whole paddock had to adapt quickly. To come away with three Final wins from different teams and categories is a fantastic reward for everyone’s work. I’m especially proud of the strength we showed in OK-N Junior, with so many Parolin chassis on the grid and a complete Parolin podium. That kind of depth is exactly what we work for - giving our teams and drivers competitive material everywhere.”
The teams and drivers return to Leopard Circuit Viterbo next weekend for Round 3 of the WSK Super Master Series, with colder weather forecast.
