Patrick Woods-Toth has secured the champion’s title at the first-ever running of the Rotax SIM RACING Challenge. Taking P2 in the opening Pre-Final, Patrick matched the pace of fastest qualifier and race winner Johnny Guindi - with nothing between them.

The Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy has responded to the ongoing corona pandemic and revised the 2020 calendar again.

BRP-Rotax yearly recognizes the efforts of its karting distributors to demonstrate sales achievements linked with operational excellence that lead to strengthen BRP-Rotax’s sales and marketing efforts in respective areas around the world. In times like this when our world changes in increasing pace it is even more important to acknowledge the outstanding work of its partners. BRP-Rotax therefore proudly announced the top three members of the BRP-Rotax 2019 Karting Distributor of the Year Award:

2nd place: SODIKART S.A., France

3rd place: International Karting Distributors (IKD), Australia

Around 150 drivers headed to the "Home Of Champions" in the first weekend of March, representing 16 different nations, to battle against the very best in Rotax racing circles, with six different classes in action.

Motorsport UK, the British Kart Championships and all associated stakeholders have collectively agreed to postpone the start of the 2020 season until 1 May at the earliest.

Best prepared, the modern karting complex of Campillos near Malaga was a perfect venue for the season kick-off – a challenging 1,588 metres long track with professional facilities for all involved. And even the weather was perfect. A sunny but windy weekend with temperatures of about 18° C guaranteed best race conditions for the drivers who were heading for victory in the categories of Micro MAX, Junior MAX, Senior MAX, MAX DD2 and MAX DD2 Masters.

Circuito Karting Campillos is located just a few kilometers from the Costa del Sol and close to cities like Malaga, Seville, Jerez etc. With a total length of 1580 meters, Campillos is the biggest and longest of all the circuits located in southern Spain. With its long straight and some spectacular up- and downhill sections, it is a challenging track with a very professional infrastructure. The kart track is internationally certified by the CIK-FIA and has a leisure and enjoyment area of about 120,000 square meters.
