18th – 20th September, the British Kart Championships travelled north to Warden Law for the fourth event of the 2020 series. With full grids across most of the Rotax and Honda classes, the weekend hosted impressive competition, and many gained vital championship points.

The upcoming weekend, the German Electric Kart Championship (DEKM) starts into the second half of the season, additionally to a new edition at Prokart Raceland, Wackersdorf. With four winners in four races so far, the race weekend promises a lot of excitement. The overall classification is currently led by Joel Mesch.

Four weeks after the kick-off of the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy in Belgium, the European Rotax racers headed for Germany where the second round of the season was held from September 4th to 6th, 2020. Venue was the Prokart Raceland in Wackersdorf which equally hosted the halfway event of the elite RMC racing format. Although the Micro and Mini MAX categories were not part of program this time, over 100 drivers from more than 20 nations entered the second meeting of the year, providing the opening round winners and overall leaders a competitive mid-season event.

Only a week after the season kick-off, the German Electric Kart Championship (DEKM) travelled on to Wackersdorf. Within the framework of the Rotax Max Challenge Euro Trophy, the participants experienced exciting race decisions. Axel La Flamme and Diego Stifter ended up as the winners.

The final race meeting of the 2020 Rotax MAX Euro Trophy, scheduled on the second weekend of November, won’t be taking place at the International Karting Circuit of Campillos, in Spain, the series announced on Monday.

The worldwide Corona pandemic also caused a late start into the season of the German Electric Kart Championship (DEKM). Next weekend, things will get going though: On the traditional Erftlandring in Kerpen, the unique electric kart racing series is going to start into its third season. A newly developed high performance racing E-kart, longer racing distances and an attractive field of participants promise lots of excitement.

After carefully reviewing the actual situation, BRP-Rotax and Chrono Karting BV have decided to cancel the Micro and Mini MAX Grand Festival 2020 because of the worldwide COVID-19 situation and the restrictions in several countries.

The Colorado Karting Tour finally kicked-off its season in the COVID-19 effected year at the beautiful Grand Junction Motor Speedway facility.

After a difficult start to the 2020 year, America and the sport of karting has begun to retake some normality with racing officially beginning to take shape. J3 Competition is pleased to announce its rescheduled northeast Rotax regional Stars & Stripes Trophy program.  The three-race format which is highlighted with a single practice day and one day of racing allows for nearly anyone to compete along with only one set of new slick tires required for racing.  The series will resume at the original northeast venues with a revised rotation and date format which follows:

Rotax team is testing the new project E20 electric kart and the results are very impressive - 25 laps on a single charge! One hour charge time and the e-kart is ready to go again!

The 2020 US Rotax Grand Nationals have successfully been rescheduled to take place at Charlotte Motor Speedway on September 18-20.  The new date was slotted in with several key factors including facility availability as well as working to create minimal conflicts across the country with other clubs, regional and national programs.

Further to the worldwide travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 virus, BRP-Rotax and 3MK Events have carefully taken the decision to postpone the 2^nd edition of the Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy, which would have taken place from Tuesday 28^th July to Saturday 01^st August 2020 at Le Mans Karting International track, in France.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and current travel restrictions, BRP-Rotax has decided to postpone the 2020 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals till January 2021, and to change the location to the city of Portimão in Portugal. The 2020 RMC Grand Finals will take place in Portimão, Portugal, from January 23 to January 30, 2021.

The Colorado Karting Tour finally kicked-off its season in the COVID-19 effected year at the beautiful Grand Junction Motor Speedway facility.  The GJMS facility has played host to several high profile events in its day as the facility offers a picturesque and challenging circuit which did not disappoint at the opening CKT event.

With the event set to take place offering international RMCGF tickets alongside a host of exciting awards the inability to have the event take place with true international flair and resources has resulted in the unfortunate decision to postpone the event.
