As announced in late 2019, BRP-Rotax is collaborating with Chrono Karting BV in organizing and promoting the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Festival. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the 2020 event, unfortunately, had to be cancelled, but for 2021 both companies are excited to host the RMC Grand Festival this summer in Eindhoven from August 20^th to 22^nd.

After 167 days since the last day of the 2020 season, the BNL Karting Series would return to action in its 14th season for the 2021 Kick-Off, which was hosted by Karting Genk: Home of Champions, the 1,360-metre circuit based in Belgium’s Limburg region, just over an hour away from Brussels.

We are proud to announce the location of the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals 2021: finally, we will go to BAHRAIN! The best 2021 RMC drivers worldwide will compete for the RMCGF title at the exciting Bahrain International Karting Circuit from December 03rd – 11th, 2021.   

Following on from our announcement earlier today, regarding the cancellation of the Winter Cup at Circuito Karting Campillos, the entries are now open for the first round at Karting Genk: Home of Champions.

It is with great sadness that the forthcoming ROTAX MAX Challenge Winter Cup, due to take place at Circuito Karting Campillos between March 12th and 14th, is now officially cancelled.

Motorsport UK, organisers of the British Kart Championships and JAG engineering, the UK distributer for Rotax, have today announced the calendar for 2021. The schedule has been designed to meet preferences indicated from recent surveys among the Rotax drivers and takes into account the current COVID-19 restrictions.

There is an incredible amount of excitement and naturally some uncertainty since our announcement to join WOMZA. We feel that some perspective at this point will assist karters, teams, clubs etc to get a clearer picture of what is happening and why.

The Portuguese Government just announced a hard lockdown for the whole country starting on January 15^th, 2021, for the next two weeks minimum, following the rising Covid-19 cases. BRP-Rotax carefully reviewed all facts about the impact of this new situation.

It is with great excitement that we announce a new dawn for karting - Karting SA  (sanctioned by World of Motorsport South Africa - WOMZA). For far too long, the Rotax Max Challenge Series has been subjected to unpopular regulations and changes by MSA and its appointees which often are not even involved in karting at all. We are therefore creating a dedicated karting regulating body that listens to karters, clubs, promoters, circuits, etc. when making decisions.

Not yet booked your place on the grid for the 2021 ROTAX Karting Winter Cup at Circuito Karting Campillos. It takes place between February 19th and 21st in Spain, just three weeks after the Grand Finals at Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve!

BRP-Rotax is excited to announce that the company Murray Motorsport has been appointed as the authorized distributor for the Republic of Ireland for Rotax karting products as of January 01, 2021. Up to now the territory of Ireland has been served by the UK distributor JAG, who has established a sales- and service network serving Irish customers over the past years and managed that Rotax MAX categories have been part of the national championship organized by the ASN Motorsport Ireland.

The last day of the 2020 Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy was rich in spectacle and twists on the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve. Fought at 100% intensity on a dry track and in mixed conditions, the Finals showed the extraordinary competitiveness of the Rotax categories with top level participants coming from all over the world, despite a not particularly favourable health situation, before rewarding the big winners.

The weather improved greatly during the Prefinals of the Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy in Portimão and the variations in grip seen since the Qualifying Heats resulted in races as exciting as they were selective in all categories.

Originally scheduled at the height of summer in Le Mans, the 2nd edition of the Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy had to adapt to the Covid-19 pandemic like everyone else. Thanks to the important preparation work carried out by the 3MK Events team, the event could be rescheduled in Portugal from 8th to 13th December 2020. With nearly 230 participants and a rigorous health protocol, the competition is already shaping up to be a success as the Qualifying Practices have just been completed.
