The CRG Racing Team is ready for another challenge in the 2026 karting season: the FIA European Championship KZ–KZ2. The continental series for the Shifter categories will be contested over two rounds, with Round 1 taking place this weekend at the Genk circuit in Belgium. The second and final event will be held in Italy at Sarno on 5 July.

With Round 2 of the FIA Karting European Championship OK-OKJ now completed at the Valencia circuit in Spain, it is time for the first assessment of the season for the CRG Racing Team. On one side, the performances shown both in the FIA events and in the Champions of the Future warm-up races confirmed the strength of the CRG-TM package, as well as the quality of the work carried out by the technical staff and drivers.

After four demanding days in Valencia, Round 2 of the series reached its climax with Finals that perfectly reflected the intensity of the weekend. From dry running to changing conditions, from tightly contested heats to decisive Superheats, every phase built toward Sunday’s showdowns. By the time the grids formed, margins were already minimal — and with early title momentum on the line, the Finals carried added weight, not just for race victories, but for the direction of the title fights after two rounds.

After Thursday’s opening chapter of Qualifying Practice and the first Qualifying Heats, Friday brought the second and decisive part of the Qualifying Heats programme, completing the picture ahead of the Superheats.

Once again, it presents an extraordinary international event with a high-capacity paddock packed with top-tier talent. The victories in the penultimate round went to Orlov (KZ2), Manach (OK), Miron (OKJ), Burgess (MINI U10), Frigerio (MINI Gr.3), and Perico (OK-NJ).

After a total of 44 qualifying heats, Van Walstijn (KZ2), Calleja (OK), Miron Lorente (OKJ), Perico (OK-NJ), El Gahoudi (MINI Gr.3), and Wolff (MINI U10) are on top.

Since the beginning of October, the Franciacorta paddock has echoed with the sound of 125cc gearbox engines from the various KZ categories. With 203 participants, the Champions of the Future Shifter kicked off the action on the initiative of promoter RGMMC. From 9th to 12th October, FIA Karting will take over with the World Championship, with no fewer than 253 drivers expected in the Italian region of Brescia. Three major titles will be awarded: the Mondokart.com KZ World Championship, the KZ2 World Cup and the KZ2 Masters International Super Cup. An exceptional field of 253 drivers, representing dozens of nationalities, is expected in northern Italy from 9th to 12th October 2025.

The 2025 FIA Karting World Championship - OK and OK-Junior will take place in Sweden from 11th to 14th September at the Åsum Ring in Kristianstad. The Swedish circuit is no stranger to major events, as this will be the fourth World Championship to take place on this track, which is particularly popular with racers. The field will be substantial, with 109 drivers expected in OK-Junior and 108 in OK. Forty-five nations from five continents will be represented.
