The conclusion of the 2020 FIA Karting World Championship - OK & Junior had no lack of turnarounds before crowning two new British Champions. The omnipresent rain on Sunday 8th November on the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve played a major role in the final outcome. Freddie Slater, winner in the last metres in the Junior category, and Callum Bradshaw, incredibly dominating in the OK Final, deserve the warmest congratulations.

The third and last day of the FIA Karting European Championships - OK & Junior at Wackersdorf kept the tension up to the end of the Finals with incessant clashes between all participants. The stage for the last act of the FIA Karting European Championships - OK & Junior was set during the twenty Qualifying Heats that took place on the selective circuit of Wackersdorf (DEU). The 2020 FIA Karting European Championship - OK & Junior will be held at the Prokart Raceland in Wackersdorf in Germany from 11th to 13th September. The FIA has adopted a new infection-control protocol adapted to the development of the COVID-19 pandemic to reinforce everyone's safety and allow the smooth running of the competition. Both categories each have a favourite, but the destinations of the titles are far from a foregone conclusion.

The first Competition of the FIA Karting European Championship - OK & Junior was an exciting race under the sun and heat of northern Spain. The fast Zuera circuit was a major contributor to the intensity of the spectacle thanks to its overtaking-friendly layout. Tuukka Taponen (FIN) in Junior and Kimi Antonelli (ITA) in OK only started 9th and 4th respectively in the Final, but they were able to step up the pace to cross the finish line as winners.

The contenders at FIA Karting European Championship - OK & Junior Competitions are of an excellent level, both in number and quality. 183 Drivers, 88 in OK and 95 in Junior, have registered for the FIA Karting European Championship - OK & Junior. They represent 43 nations and four continents, and hopefully all of them will have the opportunity to travel to Spain for the occasion, as international travel is still subject to some restrictions depending on country of origin.
