Two years after their last visit, the gearbox categories are back at the Circuito Internazionale Napoli in Sarno for the second of three rounds in the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship - KZ and KZ2. From 19th to 22nd June 2025, the KZ2 Masters category will be added to the programme. This Championship will be contested over a single competition. A total of 125 Drivers are entered.

In Valencia, the sensational results obtained at the Champions of the Future Shifter event were confirmed more than ever for Sodikart during the first round of the 2025 FIA Karting European Championship: Three drivers in the top five, two on the podium and victory for Max Orlov in KZ2. CPB Sport and the Sodi / TM machines have already taken the lead in the Team Championship. The drivers entered in KZ also battled at the front throughout the Spanish competition.

The weather remained sunny in the Valencia region, with temperatures rising for the day's Qualifying Heats. Drivers and machines were put through their paces in Saturday's 13 races, which produced a large number of passes and twists and turns. For four days, the Algarve International Karting Circuit in Portimao vibrated to the rhythm of the KZ, KZ2 and KZ Master karts at a meeting eagerly awaited by competitors. The drivers and teams were able to work in a variety of weather conditions, gathering a wealth of data and gaining a much better understanding of the Portimao track. Many of the drivers were taking part in a Champions of the Future event for the first time and appreciated the professionalism of the organisation put in place by RGMMC. On a warm and sunny day of southern Portugal, Frenchman Jérémy Iglesias won the KZ class, Romanian Daniel Vasile won the KZ2 class and Frenchman Anthony Abbasse dominated the KZ Master class.

With almost a third of the field equipped with French chassis, Sodi was by far the most represented brand in KZ2 at La Conca for the second and final round of the WSK Open Series. A regular at the front, Emilien Denner was undoubtedly one of the protagonists of the meeting. A superb 2nd in the Final, he returned to 3rd in the Championship, while Senna Van Walstijn secured 2nd place. Thanks to Mattéo Spirgel and Giuseppe Palomba, the French brand placed four chassis in the top 10 of both the Final and the Championship.

Sodikart confirmed its position at the highest level of international karting throughout the FIA Karting European Championship in KZ and KZ2. Senna Van Walstijn led the standings when he arrived at the Italian circuit of Sarno, and was immediately up front. Although an unfortunate tyre problem cost him his chances of being crowned champion, the Dutchman fought hard right to the end to claim 3rd place in the European KZ Championship. With the points also scored by Frenchman Emilien Denner, Sodikart finished 3rd in the team standings.
