At Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, the fifth round of the Italian F.4 Championship, Freddie Slater returned to victory this morning. After an unfortunate first day that saw him forced to retire in Race 1, the British driver of PREMA Racing bounced back to win. Strengthening his grip on the Championship, Slater made a long comeback from the fourth block of the starting grid, securing his eleventh win and a total of 265 points in the standings.

Hiyu Yamakoshi, the Japanese driver for Van Amersfoort Racing, started from pole position and maintained control until the checkered flag. Their aim was also to fight for the championship titles in the Champions of the Future Euro Series. In OK, Joe Turney concluded with a magnificent victory, while Alex Powell took the crown. KR Global Motorsport Company even claimed an unprecedented quadruple in the overall standings with Kean Nakamura Berta taking 2nd place, giving Prema Racing the double ahead of Joe Turney and Enzo Tarnvanichkul. In the OK-Junior class, Thibaut Ramaekers battled steadily in the leading group to finish 3rd in the Euro Series, while Augustus Toniolo took 3rd place on the podium.

The Champions of the Future Euro Series has christened the brand new Rodby circuit in Denmark. Used by 43 drivers competing in OK and OK-Junior, the KR chassis immediately felt at home. Victories in the Qualifying Heats followed in quick succession on this unique track, which the drivers had to tame to aim for the best possible result. The event ended with a magnificent all-round performance in OK with 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th places, while Antonov, Martinese and Saleh had just put their best foot forward in the previous OK-Junior Final. On Friday 14 May, 174 drivers from 42 countries took part in the Qualifying Practice for the first of the four 2021 FIA Karting European Championship - OK and Junior - events at the Genk circuit (BEL).
