The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) has appointed Maxxis, one of the world’s leading tyre manufacturers, as the exclusive tyre supplier for the FIA Karting European and World Championships in OK and OKJ categories, as well as for the OK-N World Cup and Academy Trophy in 2024-2026.

For the year 2024, the Noesis RR (recent OKJ world championship winner), TDX and Kid models remain unchanged. The Rookie, aimed at the MINI categories, on the other hand, is now also available in the new EVM version.

Still confirmed for next year are the Mercury RR and TDX models (for the shifter, single-gear and DD2 categories) as well as the Kid, for the very young drivers. What's new, however, is the Rookie (MINI), now in a brand-new version specifically for 'soft' tyres.

At its meeting on 19th October 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland, the FIA World Motor Sport Council took the following decisions based on the proposals of the International Karting Commission.

RGMMC launch a new global concept for drivers to showcase their talent across the globe. The opening event will take place at the racetrack of Al Forsan International sports resort in Abu Dhabi on the 20-22 of November this year. The opening event will host 3 categories, Mini 60 (chassis - Parolin powered by TM) and OK-N Junior, and OK-N Senior (chassis - Kart Republic powered by IAME).

2022 KZ World Champion Viktor Gustafsson (SWE) and CRG factory driver has just recorded his seventh International Karting Ranking (IKR) result of the season at Wackersdorf. His 2nd place in the Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Championship - KZ and his consistency in the other KZ events on the FIA Karting International Sporting Calendar that count towards the IKR means that he is now in 1st place in the KZ category. With 2621 points, he is ahead of the new reigning champion Paolo Ippolito and Matteo Vigano. 3rd in the World Championship, Stan Pex has moved up three places in the KZ rankings.

It's important to remember that above all it's thanks to the quality of the equipment and the competitiveness of the drivers that the Italian brand manages to remain at the top of the world hierarchy. In addition to Albanese's coronation, the two Italian drivers won their places on the podium at Sarno in the premier class. In March 2022, the FIA World Motor Sport Council approved the use of biofuel in FIA Karting competitions from 2023.

Exciting Dutch talent Dilano van ’t Hoff will remain with MP Motorsport for a second assault on the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA). Young French driver Jimmy Hélias continues to impress in the top-tier of world karting. And not just by his performances! At its meeting on 7th December 2022 in Bologna, Italy, the FIA World Motor Sport Council took the following decisions based on the proposals of the International Karting Commission. Change of venue for the last event of the 2023 FIA European Karting Championships - OK & OK-Junior

It has been talked about since the beginning of the OK-N project, and the OKN-Junior is now a reality. Full-scale tests have enabled the CIK-FIA to validate the definition of the OKN-Junior engine to extend the OKN's field of action to younger drivers as easily as possible, with a simple exhaust flange. A single engine unit can therefore power drivers in both categories of the most accessible competition offered by the CIK-FIA for national markets.

Taking advantage of the publicity around the Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Championship OK and OK-Junior, the CIK-FIA organised a press conference on Saturday, 17th September, in the presence of the FIA Karting Commission President Akbar Ebrahim, his Vice President John Ryan, the head of karting of the Italian Sporting Authority, ACI Sport, Raffaele Giammaria, and the FIA Karting technical delegate, Karl Janda. The subject was the development of OK-N.

Already in the middle of the year, the organizers of the German Kart Championship are focusing on the 2023 season. After the anniversary year "60 years of DKM", the participants can look forward to a full program in the future as well. The calendar again includes five races - planned in Germany, Italy and Belgium.
