The 2020 IAME Euro Series reached its conclusion from October 9th to 11th on the Karting des Fagnes of Mariembourg, in Belgium. Elie Goldstein became the third different winner in Senior, where Guy Cunnington was awarded the title, Aaron Walker claimed both the Junior Final and crown, while Sacha Van’t Pad Bosch took his first Mini victory ahead of the new class winner Cathal Clark!

IAME Belgium has released the ‘new’ 2020 calendar of the IAME Series Benelux, with RACB agreement. The first round will be held at Karting Genk in Belgium (21 - 23 August) followed by the second round at Karting des Fagnes in Mariembourg (25 - 27 September). The third round is in France, Ostricourt (30 October - 1 November) and the final round will be in Mariembourg (22 – 24 November).

In The Netherlands some of the karttracks did open last week. Now also Karting Genk in Belgium will open soon for free practice in karts. “Finally we have been given the green light from the authorities to open again from Friday, May 8, 2020 for free practice (no kart rental) for drivers with their own kart”, said the statement by Karting Genk. “We are all pleased to hear that the lock down can slowly be reduced and that we can all enjoy our favourite sport again. To make sure that we can continue our beloved activity, we all have to be responsible and we will count on your common sense, with the rules in mind. Unfortunately, we have not yet received permission to restart the rental karts and the brasserie. We will communicate this at a later stage.

With a hectic summer season program underway, Team Evolution is pushing hard to make every weekend count. Round 4 of the IAME Series Benelux 2019 was no exception, as the British team secured three podiums and notable results amidst the challenging weather conditions throughout the event at the Karting Genk – ‘Home of Champions’ circuit in Belgium. In the X30 Senior category, Joey van Splunteren bounced back to the top, after a less than satisfying Euro Series round recently, outperforming all his competitive rivals for victory and his invitation to the IAME International Final at Le Mans mid-October. Zach Ripley and Herolind Nuredini took a brilliant 2nd and 3rd respectively in X30 Juniors, with Ripley closing the gap on the series lead.

Daniel Guinchard claimed an excellent third place overall in the Junior Rotax class at the Karting Genk circuit in Belgium, where he finished runner-up at the 2019 BNL Kick-off event last month.
