Reigning five-time Ginetta Junior champions R Racing will expand into single-seaters for the first time in 2026, with a two-car entry into the GB4 Championship.
The Norfolk squad, founded by Jamie Ross and Nathan Read, has established itself as the team to beat in the Ginetta Junior Championship since 2019. The outfit has secured the driver’s championship title for the past five years in succession, with drivers including Aston Millar, Josh Rowledge, Freddie Slater, Ethan Jeff-Hall and Rocco Coronel.
GB3 champions Zak O’Sullivan and Callum Voisin are amongst those to have raced for the team in the formative stages of their racing careers, while Slater’s campaign in 2023 decimated series records. In the main Ginetta Junior Championship alone, the team has claimed 90 wins in seven seasons, with further successes coming in the Winter Series, and taking over a dozen titles in the process.
Further silverware came with an expansion into British GT’s GT4 division in 2022, finishing third in the final standings with an Aston Martin Vantage. With unparalleled success in sports cars, the team is now aiming to make a name for itself in single-seaters for the first time, and has already taken ownership of two Tatuus MSV GB4-025 cars.
Jamie Ross, R Racing Director: “Receiving the GB4 cars is a major milestone for R Racing and a significant step forward for the team. It’s the result of years of preparation and commitment behind the scenes, and it underlines our ambition to compete at a high level. We’re excited to begin this next chapter and get the cars on track.”
