The KR chassis are already enjoying a string of successes at the start of the season. Oleksandr Bondarev (Prema Racing) in OK and Niklas Schaufler (DPK Racing) in OK-Junior won the WSK Champions Cup on 21st January and repeated the feat a week later, again on the Lonato circuit. However, the competition was even tougher at the opening round of the WSK Super Master Series 2024! But the most important thing to note was that many other drivers in the colours of KR Global Motorsport Company put in solid performances.

Vasile and Bertuca take the win in KZ2, Bondarev in OK, Schaufler in OKJ, Bogdan Cosma Cristofor in OKNJ, Miron Lorente and Legenkyi in MINI Gr.3, Nellegard and Perico in MINI Gr.3 U10. The final heats will take place on Saturday, while the final stages will follow on Sunday, January 28th.

The 2023 season was full of success for the KR Global Motorsport Company factory in the international categories and the results of the first major event of 2024 confirmed this trend, already auguring many successes to come. At the WSK Champions Cup in Lonato, the chassis won two titles, with Niklas Schaufler (DPK Racing) in OK-Junior and Oleksander Bondarev (Prema Racing) in OK, a category that ended with four KR-IAMEs in the top four places!

The end of the season is near, but the motivation is still intact for KR Global Motorsport Company. At each new event, the objective is the same: to win and demonstrate the efficiency of the KR chassis, whatever the conditions and whatever the circuit. Once again, the mission was accomplished, particularly in OK with the victory for Dmitry Matveev. In Lonato, the first round of the WSK Final Cup (17th-19th November) also provided an opportunity for young drivers to move up a step and discover the category in which they will be competing in 2024.

Kean Nakamura-Berta (GBR) and Alex Powell (JAM) occupied the top two positions in the OK category, while Iacopo Martinese (ITA) took the lead in OK-Junior. Rocco Coronel raced in the French IAME Series Championship last weekend at the Circuit International Jean Brun karting circuit in Varennes-sur-Allier. The 12-year-old driver from Victory Lane had a dominant weekend and came out well even under the changing weather conditions. Because the son of Tom Coronel and Paulien Zwart also won the final race, he grabbed a coveted ticket for the IAME World Finals, which will be held at the Portuguese karting circuit of Portimão in November. Coronel scored the ticket at the same circuit where Max Verstappen crowned himself world champion in KZ1 in 2013.
