At the Leopard Circuit Viterbo, Tony Kart Rookie leads the MINI Gr.3 category weekend, winning the final on Saturday afternoon with official driver Alfie Mair.
The 2026 edition of the WSK Euro Series begins with a great start for the Tony Kart Racing Team. At the Leopard Circuit Viterbo, hosting the first round of the championship, the Tony Kart Rookie dominates the MINI Gr.3 category and takes the victory in the final. The “Rookie” chassis, powered by the Vortex VTM from the OTK Kart Group's “engine division,” is also in contention for the podium in the MINI Gr.3 U10. Meanwhile, the Tony Kart Racer 401 T, paired with the Vortex VTS-N engine, is at the starting grid of the OKJ-N category.
In MINI Gr.3, in his second race with their official colours, Alfie Richard Mair achieves a success in the final, at the end of a weekend spent at the top of the standings. Despite the constantly changing weather conditions, the British driver wins all three qualifying heats scheduled (also collecting a fastest lap) and wins the A Prefinal, in which he also sets the fastest lap. Making the most of his pole position start, Mair holds off his rivals well in the early stages of the final and, in the following laps, gains the necessary gap to secure the top step of the podium. Thanks to these results, their driver now leads the championship with a total of 111 points.
Alvaro Medeiros jumps with a perfect start, clocking the fastest lap in Group 1 of the qualifyings (1:13.284) and continuing his successful path with a second and third place finish in the heats. However, a series of collisions shortly after the start of the final forces the Brazilian driver to make a difficult comeback, preventing him from achieving a significant result. Zane Pace fights for victory in B-D heat, finishing in third place, and achieves a top-5 finish in pre-final A. The Maltese driver is their second-best performer in the final, finishing in the top 10.
After recovering 14 positions between qualifying and the heats, David Aagten stands out in the final by climbing seven positions. Farel Beretta Dugat gains access to the last race on Saturday afternoon, which has been narrowly missed by Nahil Padovani Amador.
In the MINI Gr.3 U10, their only representative Blake Hsueh is the third fastest driver in the qualifying session and remains consistently at the top of the category throughout the race. In Saturday's final, the American driver performs a great start and battles for second place until the last lap.
In OKJ-N, Victor Thomas Gorun makes no mistakes in the qualifying heats and moves up nine positions in the intermediate standings compared to his qualifying result. He then confirms his excellent form in the A Prefinal, finishing in second place. As in the first two rounds of the WSK Super Master Series, their driver finishes the final among the top ten. Augustin Feligioni finishes just outside the top ten, ahead of his teammates Valentino Manassero and Linghan Li.
The Tony Kart Racing Team will remain in Viterbo to attend the third round of the WSK Super Master Series (February 18-22), with drivers of the OK, OKJ, OKJ-N, and MINI classes.
