Rising star takes to the top step on first outing at famous Grand Prix venue
 

Better than poleman Alessandro Giusti, Australian Hugh Barter won Race 3 in Valencia, but Giusti is now the Championship leader. Romain Andriolo completed the day's podium.

The drivers of the French F4 Championship had two particularly lively races in Valencia. The Australian Barter then Peugeot successively took the top step of the podium, but Giusti did well in the general classification.

The Argentinian ROFGO Junior scored his second FIA Formula 3 win in the season finale last weekend at the Temple of Speed. 

W Series, the international single-seater motor racing championship for women drivers, today announces that Tereza Babickova (Puma W Series Team, 19, CZE) will not take part in the seventh race of the 2022 season in Singapore on 30 September-2 October due to injury.

ROFGO Junior Oliver Goethe scored another Grand Slam last weekend at the Red Bull Ring.

This year's fifth STCC event was held last weekend, September 9^th-11^th, at Scandinavian Raceway in Sweden. Andreas Bäckman had a strong weekend with pole position in the Qualifying and he won two out of three races. “Fantastic weekend at Anderstorp. The speed was there in all conditions throughout the weekend, and it was great fun to get two wins on the race day”, Andreas Bäckman says.

Fortec’s Nikolas Taylor extended his GB4 Championship lead with a supreme performance on the Brands Hatch GP circuit, with a win and a second place on Sunday. Jack Sherwood claimed his second victory of the season in race three, leading every lap despite starting fourth on the grid. Taylor’s results meanwhile mean he now has a 31-point championship lead over Max Marzorati, having been level on points at the start of the day following his retirement in race one.

Tom Lebbon and Branden Oxley were the winners on Sunday at Brands Hatch, with two enthralling contests on the mighty Grand Prix circuit. In the championship race, two positive results for Hitech GP’s Luke Browning and a difficult final race for Joel Granfors means the British driver holds an extended 15.5 point championship lead heading to the final weekend at Donington Park. 

The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine ends its eighth round of the season at Red Bull Ring with Hadrien David‘s victory in Race 2. The young driver of the R-ace GP team drove a perfect race after starting from pole, and kept the lead from start to finish.

Matthew Rees claimed the first GB3 win for both himself and the JHR Developments team, with a supreme performance on the Brands Hatch GP circuit this afternoon (Saturday). The reigning British F4 champion started from pole position and led every lap as he headed home championship contenders Luke Browning and Joel Granfors, with just 6.5 points separating the pair heading into the final five races of the season. 

Kevin Mills Racing’s Tom Mills claimed his first GB4 race win in a thrilling opening contest on the Brands Hatch GP circuit. Meanwhile, Nikolas Taylor and Max Marzorati are tied at the top of the standings, after Taylor slid out of contention midway through the race. 

A spectacular Race 1 full of twists and turns took place at the Red Bull Ring, where the eighth round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine was held, with Kas Haverkort (Van Amersfoort Racing) reaching the highest step of the podium ahead of teammate Joshua Dufek. Behind, RPM’s new addition Pierre-Louis Chovet‘s entered the season with a flawless performance, leading him to third place having led the race for a few laps.

Paul Aron confirmed his top form at Red Bull Ring claiming his fifth pole position of the year in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine at the end of a thrilling qualifying session. 

After turning 15 on August 15th, Arvid Lindblad can finally start his open wheel racing career in Italian F4 in Spielberg.

The Formula Regional by Alpine is ready to reignite its engines after the summer break at the Red Bull Ring

G4 Racing will bring two new drivers to Red Bull Ring, home to round 8 of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine next weekend. Following the announcement of Gillian Henrion, who will replace injured Axel Gnos, the Swiss team is happy to announce that W Series driver Tereza Bábíčková will make her FRECA debut in Austria. Henrion and Bábíčková will reinforce the G4 Racing lineup and will run alongside full-time driver Matias Zagazeta.

The final part of the 2022 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine will kick off in Red Bull Ring on September 9, with G4 Racing ready to enter the last three rounds of the series after the summer break and fight back from a tough start of the season.

Gold Coast teenager Alice Buckley has been selected as a finalist in the FIA Girls on Track – Rising Stars program in France on Sunday. Buckley travelled to the Paul Ricard circuit as one of the 14 young drivers to participate in the four-day evaluation program aboard karts and a Formula 4 car at the Paul Ricard circuit last week.
