The Formula Regional by Alpine is ready to reignite its engines after the summer break at the Red Bull Ring

G4 Racing will bring two new drivers to Red Bull Ring, home to round 8 of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine next weekend. Following the announcement of Gillian Henrion, who will replace injured Axel Gnos, the Swiss team is happy to announce that W Series driver Tereza Bábíčková will make her FRECA debut in Austria. Henrion and Bábíčková will reinforce the G4 Racing lineup and will run alongside full-time driver Matias Zagazeta.

The final part of the 2022 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine will kick off in Red Bull Ring on September 9, with G4 Racing ready to enter the last three rounds of the series after the summer break and fight back from a tough start of the season.

Gold Coast teenager Alice Buckley has been selected as a finalist in the FIA Girls on Track – Rising Stars program in France on Sunday. Buckley travelled to the Paul Ricard circuit as one of the 14 young drivers to participate in the four-day evaluation program aboard karts and a Formula 4 car at the Paul Ricard circuit last week.

This year's fourth STCC event was held last weekend, August 18^th-20^th, at Gelleråsen Arena in Sweden. After a difficult qualifying for Andreas Bäckman, he got his revenge on the race day and took two podium positions. “Good race day with two podiums, a lot of overtaking and fun to show that the speed is there for the upcoming races”, Andreas Bäckman says.

Excitement right down to the finish: Taylor Barnard (18/GBR/PHM Racing) came through an exciting race in ADAC Formula 4 to take a narrow victory over team-mate Nikita Bedrin (ITA) on Sunday. Behind them, Valentin Kluss (15/Bad Mergentheim/PHM Racing) snatched third place and his first podium in the final metres at the DEKRA Lausitzring. “It is unbelievable that I managed to win from eighth on the grid. I saw in my rear mirror that the lead over Nikita was coming down all the time.

Win number one of the season for Nikita Bedrin (ITA/PHM Racing): the 16-year-old Italian took victory in a wet ADAC Formula 4 race at the DEKRA Lausitzring, finishing ahead of Taylor Barnard (18/GBR/PHM Racing) who made it a one-two for Berlin-based PHM Racing at the team’s home event at the 3.478-kilometre racetrack. Rasmus Joutsimies (19/FIN/Jenzer Motorsport) came home third to claim his first podium and first place in the Rookie competition.

Last weekend August 5–7th, Jessica Bäckman claimed two podiums in the fourth round of the ADAC TCR Germany at the legendary Nürburgring track in Germany. 

Big celebrations for Taylor Barnard (18/PHM Racing): The British driver claimed his first victory in ADAC Formula 4 in race ten of the season at the Nürburgring. Andrea Kimi Antonelli (15/Prema Racing) did cross the finish line in first place, but the Italian was handed a five-second penalty for a false start.

The second Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine race at Spa Francorchamps put on a show, as usual, providing some excitement to the numerous spectators on the stands and paddock of the Belgian track.

Everything is ready for the seventh double round of the season of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, which for the occasion reaches the iconic track of Spa Francorchamps.
