Only the weather conditions seem stable under the Lombardy sun, while the sporting hierarchy has regularly changed during the exciting races. In terms of the top spot, Italy's Angelo Lombardo has taken over from his compatriot Davide Fore at the top of the FIA Karting International Super Cup - KZ2 Masters intermediate standings. On the other hand, Germany's David Trefilov managed to retain his lead in the Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Championship - KZ, as did Maksim Orlov in the FIA Karting World Cup - KZ2.

Under sunny skies, temperatures rose from 17 to 20 degrees during the Qualifying sessions, while pressure was also high among drivers and teams. With around 250 drivers spread across three categories, it was essential to secure a good position before the start of the Qualifying Heats. Three drivers have already achieved their first goal in Italy, that of securing pole position: Germany's David Trefilov in the Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Championship - KZ, Maksim Orlov in the FIA Karting World Cup - KZ2 and Italy's Davide Fore in the FIA Karting International Super Cup - KZ2 Masters.

The wait is over: from Thursday, October 9th to Sunday, October 12th, the Franciacorta circuit in Italy will host the most important event of the year for the Shifter categories — the FIA World Championship KZ-KZ2 and KZ2 Master. Over 250 drivers and the most prestigious international karting teams will compete for the most coveted title in the gearbox categories.

Parolin Motorsport and satellite team drivers finished on the podium in all categories at the last round of the Champions of the Future Shifter series at Franciacorta, just a week before the vital World Championship meeting at the same northern Italian circuit. The weather was fine all weekend, but with a definite autumnal chill in the air.

Following their success in the FIA Karting European Championships and WSK, Sodi chassis have just been crowned Champions of the Future Shifter in both the KZ and KZ2 categories. With one week to go before the World Championship, Senna Van Walstijn made a strong impression in KZ against tough competition on the Italian circuit of Franciacorta, winning the overall series classification ahead of his team-mate Jean Nomblot.

Since the beginning of October, the Franciacorta paddock has echoed with the sound of 125cc gearbox engines from the various KZ categories. With 203 participants, the Champions of the Future Shifter kicked off the action on the initiative of promoter RGMMC. From 9th to 12th October, FIA Karting will take over with the World Championship, with no fewer than 253 drivers expected in the Italian region of Brescia. One week after winning the Italian Championship title and securing multiple podium finishes in the WSK during the season, Modena Racing Team have been crowned world champions! Gioele Girardello made history by becoming the first winner of the FIA Karting World Cup in OK-N Junior. The Italian completely dominated the event in Italy, on the Cremona circuit. By climbing onto the third step of the podium, Switzerland's Albert Tamm completed the triumph of this leading team, which rewarded the extreme performance of their Parolin-TM Kart combinations.

October will be the month with the KZ2 and KZ categories taking center stage in the international karting scene. Next weekend (with Finals scheduled for Saturday, October 4), the 2nd and final round of the Champions of the Future will take place in Franciacorta, Italy. The following week, from October 8 to 11, on the same track, the most important event of the season for the Shifter categories is scheduled: the FIA World Championship KZ and the World Cup KZ2 and KZ Master. The most prominent drivers and teams in these categories will be based in Italy for 15 days to crown the 2025 World Champions. CRG boasts a prestigious and winning history in these categories, and once again this year, CRG and Kalì Kart chassis are expected to be among the frontrunners.
 

According to the egalitarian principle which has always prevailed in this competition, the 86 or so drivers entered this season in each of the two FIA Karting Academy Trophies, Senior and Junior categories, have had the use of strictly identical equipment: this includes chassis and engines (supplied by OTK), tyres (provided by Maxxis or LeCont, depending on the category), overalls and gloves (branded OMP) and the data acquisition system (of the Alfano brand).

The new FIA Karting event, which brought together the OK-N and OK-N Junior World Cups, as well as the third and final competition of the Academy Trophy - Junior, lived up to all expectations. On the Cremona circuit, the last day ended in sunshine with some very exciting Finals. Italy's Manuel Scognamiglio made the difference in OK-N, and his compatriot Gioele Girardello made history by becoming the first winner of the OK-N Junior World Cup. While Lithuania's Nojus Stasionis won the Academy - Junior Final, the title was clinched by Finland's Oiva Vettenranta on the final lap

This FIA Karting World Cup has attracted a large number of participants this year in a sign of the growing strength of FIA Karting events. Applications exceeded expectations so much so that FIA Karting had to close OK-N applications just hours after they opened. A total of 90 OK-N and 83 OK-NJ drivers will compete in Cremona in these two competitions, which promise to be very open.
