Kart CRG: The KZ month begins

October will be the month with the KZ2 and KZ categories taking center stage in the international karting scene. Next weekend (with Finals scheduled for Saturday, October 4), the 2nd and final round of the Champions of the Future will take place in Franciacorta, Italy. The following week, from October 8 to 11, on the same track, the most important event of the season for the Shifter categories is scheduled: the FIA World Championship KZ and the World Cup KZ2 and KZ Master. The most prominent drivers and teams in these categories will be based in Italy for 15 days to crown the 2025 World Champions. CRG boasts a prestigious and winning history in these categories, and once again this year, CRG and Kalì Kart chassis are expected to be among the frontrunners.

This week’s race will serve as a full-scale rehearsal, useful for fine-tuning chassis and engine setups in preparation for World Championship week. The race program for this first COTF round will officially begin on Wednesday, October 8, with the first free practice sessions, followed by qualifying and the first heats on Thursday. Friday will be entirely dedicated to qualifying heats, while Saturday will feature the Super Heats in the morning and the Finals in the afternoon.

The official CRG team will line up a total of 7 drivers, including two top names in the KZ category: Viktor Gustavsson, 2022 World Champion with TM engines, and Olin Galli, who will be racing with Iame engines. In KZ2, the CRG Racing Team will field Paavo Tonteri, Menyhert Krozser, Alvar Siimesvaara, and Michael Avasino, while in KZ2 Master (over 35) CRG will rely on Julien Gueant, Alexandre Vincendet, and Ebrahim Wagner. Entry to the circuit will be free, and the on-track action will be of the highest level. Weather could play a role, especially on the final day of Saturday, with a 40% chance of rain.

The website to follow the on-track action with Live Timing and Live Streaming this week will be the promoter’s: www.championskarting.com.
