Australia’s karting representatives took on young drivers from across the world at the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games in Valencia, Spain across the weekend. This prestigious event, held every two years, unites nations and drivers for the world’s largest motorsport festival, featuring 26 disciplines across various categories.

The surprise results continued in the karting Finals as Team Lithuania won gold in the Sprint Sr category.

Jorge Edgar kept his powder dry until it really mattered as the United Kingdom star stormed through the field to win gold in the Karting Sprint Jr category.

Team Portugal claimed a brilliant gold medal in the Karting Mini Final as Xavier Lázaro prevailed at the end of a pulsating 11-lap battle.

With Karting Endurance kicking off the first of the medal races at Aspar Circuit yesterday, today is the turn of Karting Mini, Karting Sprint Jr and Karting Sprint Sr. All three categories had one remaining Heat outstanding on Sunday morning, with the results contributing to the grid positions for each Final.

Selected for the second time by the Real Federación Española de Automovilismo to represent Spain, Belén García returns to competition this week at the FIA Motorsport Games. The 25-year-old driver will aim for gold in Karting Endurance with José Manuel Pérez-Aicart and Germán Sánchez at the Aspar Circuit in Valencia.

Unsettled weather conditions made the KZ World Championship, held at Portimao in southern Portugal, extremely difficult. The most important event of the season for the Shifter categories, the FIA ​​World Championship KZ-KZ2 and KZ2 Masters which took place in Portugal, confirmed the CRG colors among the most competitive in these categories, which have always been very relevant in terms of importance on the karting world market. The seal of prestige in a weekend heavily influenced by the weather came with the podium in KZ2 by Paavo Tonteri, P3 at the end of a journey always among the big names, starting from Qualifying Practice.

At the FIA Karting World Championship KZ in Portimão, Portugal, the Tony Kart Racing Team took to the track with the Racer 401 RR and OMP suits in the 2025 livery. Although 2024 is not yet over, the Tony Kart Racing Team is already laying the groundwork for the 2025 season. Their racing division presented, directly on the track at the FIA Karting World Championship KZ, the new livery that will be used next year on the newly homologated Tony Kart Racer 401 T, along with the new official drivers’ racing suit, as always designed and produced by OMP.
