Heats on Thursday defined the names of the protagonists of Round 1 of the WSK Open Cup that will contest Prefinals on Saturday. Drivers will get on track again on Friday, November 27th to run the heats of Round 2.   

Due to the persisting Covid-19 sanitary emergency, the event scheduled for December 10-13 at the International Circuit Napoli in Sarno will be relocated to the Adria Karting Raceway in the same date.   

The WSK Open Cup has begun, the event that opens the 2020 season finale by WSK Promotion and, due to the Covid-19 emergency, will run a double round from November 24-29 at the Adria Karting Raceway. Despite the difficulties to reach the venue by foreign drivers, the number of entered drivers is quite good as all protagonists are gearing up to challenge each other in the closing event of MINI, OKJ, OK and KZ2.

Qualifying practice of Round 1 and Round 2 of the WSK Open Cup have been run in Adria, as well as the opening heats of Round 1 of MINI, OKJ, OK and KZ2. Further heats will keep drivers busy on Thursday and Friday, while Prefinals will follow on Saturday and the all the finals on Sunday, November 29th.

The double round of the WSK Open Cup will get underway from November 24th to 29th. A good number of drivers will contest MINI, OKJ, OK and KZ2, including a lot of champions. Qualifying practise will take place on Wednesday, heats on Thursday and Friday, Prefinals on Saturday and all the Finals of Round 1 and 2 will end the event on Sunday, November 29th.

The provisional racing calendar for WSK Promotion’s 2021 Karting campaign has been devised. It features 11 events plus the Winter Tests that will take place on January 23-24 in Adria. The WSK 2021 championships confirm the usual and well-established project that is due to start with the one-round WSK Champions Cup and will then continue with the 4 races of the WSK Super Master Series, the 3 rounds of WSK Euro Series, 2 of WSK Open Cup and the one-round season closer WSK Final Cup.

It is now possible to file entries for the two rounds of WSK Open Cup that will take place at the Adria Karting Raceway on November 24-29th. The online procedure to enter the double event is available at www.wsk.it. After a break, WSK events are due to resume soon. Subscriptions are now accepted ahead of the next appointment on track with the WSK Open Cup, a double round open to MINI, OKJ, OK and KZ2 scheduled for November 24-29th 2020 at the Adria Karting Raceway.

Less than three weeks before the World KZ Championship that will take place on the same South Garda Karting circuit, the Sodi Racing Team showed an excellent level of performance in Lonato. During the last round of the WSK Euro Series, Bas Lammers confirmed his status as a top-level driver - and specialist in the discipline - by being at the forefront. After a long final battle, the Dutch driver took 2nd place on the podium.

The Parolin Racing Kart chassis once again showed excellent competitiveness at the double closing meeting of the WSK Euro Series in Lonato in three of the four categories, despite numerous race incidents. A final victory in Mini and three drivers in the top five of the championship, a 4th place in the Final and a 7th place in the Junior championship for Dodds as well as two top 10 and a 7th place in the OK championship for Wharton attest to Parolin’s level of performance.

Lonato was a festival for Birel ART-TM! The WSK Euro Series ended with a triumph for the Italian teams. During this rather special meeting, two events per category were held simultaneously in the space of five days. In KZ2, the first one resulted in a triple win led by Marijn Kremers (Ricciardo Kart), Riccardo Longhi and Matteo Vigano (Charles Leclerc by Lennox Racing). Alessandro Irlando won the second round and it was Longhi who won the Championship ahead of Giuseppe Palomba and Irlando!

An exciting conclusion in Lonato awarded the WSK Euro Series titles to Riccardo Longhi (KZ2), Andrea Kimi Antonelli (OK), Alfio Spina (OKJ) and René Lammers (MINI). The Italian title of OK went to Antonelli, that of OKJ to Spina.

The closing stages of the WSK Euro Series, Round 2 and Round 3, will be available through the live streaming starting from Prefinals on Saturday, September 19th, at local 13.40. The racing action will be captured live also on Sunday, September 20th, from 10.30 with all the Finals of KZ2, OK, OKJ and MINI. 

At the end of 80 races including heats and Prefinals, the 8 Finals on Sunday, September 20th at the South Garda Karting circuit of Lonato will define the  2020 WSK Euro Series winners of KZ2, OK, OKJ and MINI. The Live TV streaming will start at 10.30.

The racing action will be captured live also on Sunday, September 20th, from 10.30 with all the Finals of KZ2, OK, OKJ and MINI. 

After all the 24 heats of Round 3 that will end on Saturday, September 19th, Prefinals will follow and can be seen with live streaming. All the finals of Round 2&3 of categories KZ2, OK, OKJ and MINI will then follow on Sunday, September 20th. 

The double round of WSK Euro Series is heading towards its final stages. The heats of Round 2 being ended, time has come for those of Round 3 that will see KZ2, OK, OKJ and MINI on track. 

In the tenth year of WSK Euro Series, the championship will be decided by the double appointment of Round 2 and Round 3 for KZ2, OK, OKJ and MINI. Qualifying practice and the initial heats named the first protagonists for the titles hunt.

The WSK season is resuming full speed with the conclusion of WSK Euro Series as categories KZ2, OK, OKJ, MINI are getting on track at the South Garda Karting circuit in Lonato (Brescia, Italy) from September 14th to 20th for the second and third rounds of the season two months after the opener in Sarno. In Lonato, due to the Covid-19 emergency that affected the 2020 racing calendar, a new format will schedule Round 2 and Round 3 in one week. All the finals will take place on Sunday, September 20th.
