In OK, Sweden's Viktor Gustafsson caused a surprise by winning the Final, while Spain's Christian Costoya had enough of a lead to be crowned Champion despite retiring. The Netherlands' Dean Hoogendoorn secured a fourth place finish, enough to take the European OK-Junior Championship, while Canada's Ilie Crisan sped to victory. In the Academy-Senior class, Japan's Yuzuki Sato scored a double victory by winning the race and the title.

The situation remains wide open in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy - Senior, both for victory in Rødby and for first place in the overall standings.

The illustrious Jesolo circuit hosted lively races and confirmed the legitimacy of the "arrive and drive" system promoted by RGMMC. A warm, sunny day celebrated the success of the Viterbo event. For its baptism of fire, the Leopard circuit proved a great success, with lively and indecisive races. In the Mondokart.com FIA European Karting Championship, Spaniard Christian Costoya extended his lead over his rivals in OK after a second consecutive victory. In OK-Junior, young Frenchman Samuel Hugon (11 years old) created a surprise by beating all the favourites, including the new Championship leader, Dutchman Dean Hoogendoorn. The French anthem was played twice on the Italian podium, with Jules Avril winning the FIA Karting Academy Trophy - Senior.

The Mini 60, OK-N Junior, and OK-N Senior categories delivered intense on-track drama as the fight for the series rankings continued to unfold. Sunday featured an entire fresh day with timed qualifying sessions, two more qualifying heats per category, and the all-important finals with the storylines shaken up again since Saturday.

In relatively hot weather, the final day of the Italian round at Cremona saw Dutchman Rene Lammers win the FIA Karting European Championship - OK, while Ukrainian Oleksandr Bondarev took victory in the FIA European Karting Championship - Junior. Spaniard Hugo Marti was the overall winner of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy.

The temperature wasn't the only thing to rise during the Qualifying Heats which have been taking place since Friday afternoon in Italy, during a competition that on Sunday afternoon will decide the winners of the FIA Karting European Championships - OK and Junior as well as the FIA Karting Academy Trophy. Race direction and the stewards are keeping a close eye on compliance with the regulations.

Whether it was the large gaps between the fastest drivers or the relative underperformance of some of the best, Qualifying Practice at the FIA Karting event in Cremona (ITA) created a surprising situation for the rest of the competition. Louis Iglesias (FRA) was fastest in OK, Thibaut Ramaekers (BEL) dominated Junior Qualifying, and Wojciech Woda (POL) secured pole position in the Academy Trophy.

Contrary to the forecasts, Saturday was a day of good weather with clear skies and temperatures in excess of 20°C. Gabriel Gomez (ITA) made a perfect run in the Qualifying Heats of the FIA Karting European Championship - OK, while Oleksandr Bondarev (UKR) did the same in the FIA Karting European Championship - Junior. The FIA Karting Academy Trophy drivers are due to compete in their last two heats on Sunday morning, but the provisional standings so far give the lead to Marius Barry-Berg (NOR). The Super Heats are on the OK and OK-Junior programme on Sunday morning.

The ROK Cup Festival closes the 2022 single-brand season by Vortex with a more than positive drivers’ response: a total of 137 at the Franciacorta Karting Track in Castrezzato (Italy), in a two-day competition, featured by the rainy weather, which further raised the bar of the challenge. The finals crowned: Pietro Bagutti (Mini ROK), Tiziano Kuzhnini (Junior ROK), Riccardo Cirelli (Senior ROK), Davide Gherardi (Expert ROK), Sergio Koch (Super ROK) and Marco Vannini (Shifter ROK).

The Winter Trophy, an absolute novelty in the ROK Cup race calendar, opens the 2022 season of the single-brand by Vortex. The drivers' attendance was excellent, coming from all over Europe, for a total of 131 participants. The trophy was held at the South Garda Karting of Lonato, with the activities on the track divided in two days and featured by ideal weather conditions, which framed the crowning of the first champions of the season: Martina Rumlenova (Mini ROK), Beszterda Iwo (Junior ROK), David Locatelli (Senior ROK), Tino Donadei (Expert ROK), Riccardo Ianniello (Super ROK), Mattia Vita (Shifter ROK).
