Indeed, the grip of the Circuit International du Mans had its ups and downs with the rainy spells that accompanied the Qualifying Heats from Thursday to Friday. As a result, the hierarchy changed in many categories. The selection will continue on Saturday morning during the Super Heats before the Finals on Saturday afternoon.

Quickly becoming the second most important in the Rotax world after the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals, the RMC International Trophy will experience its 5th edition at Le Mans from July 25 to 29, 2023. In superb weather conditions, the 245 drivers of the Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy competed in 28 Qualifying Heats to select the finalists and determine the starting order of the decisive Prefinals and Finals to be run on Saturday 30th July in Le Mans.

However, the Covid-19 pandemic is still present and the recent reinforcement of health controls between countries around the world has restricted the number of participants at the last moment.

The last day of the 2020 Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy was rich in spectacle and twists on the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve. Fought at 100% intensity on a dry track and in mixed conditions, the Finals showed the extraordinary competitiveness of the Rotax categories with top level participants coming from all over the world, despite a not particularly favourable health situation, before rewarding the big winners.

After the great success of the first edition of the Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy in Le Mans last year, BRP-Rotax is proud to announce that it has – partnering again with 3MK Events and Le Mans Karting International / ACO Automobile Club de l'Ouest – fixed the date for 2020.
