The MP Group has further strengthened its position in the Northern European karting scene by acquiring Chrono Karting, the leading organiser in Dutch karting with the Dutch 2-stroke (Dutch Rotax Max Challenge) and 4-stroke championships among its portfolio. With the acquisition of Chrono Karting, the MP Group aims to enable Dutch karting talent to make the transition to motor racing in a structured and professionally supervised manner.

Drivers from the national and international realms of X30 and KZ karting are now welcome to enter the Winter Series of the 2026 Karting Champions League, the championship that offers the ideal way for everybody to get into a racing rhythm for the regular season.

The MP Group has further expanded its karting activities by acquiring the legendary karting circuit Karting Genk. To this end, MP owner Henk de Jong reached an agreement with the Lemmens family, who opened the outdoor track at Horensbergdam in 1983 and have owned it ever since. MP, best known in the Netherlands for its leading Formula racing team MP Motorsport, has been working for several years to grow its presence in karting—the foundation of the talent ladder that MP Motorsport offers all the way up to Formula 2.

The Karting Champions League is proud to present the Winter Series, a pioneering platform for emerging kart racing talents. This event consists of two rounds; the first round takes place from January 24th to 26th, and the second from the 31st of January to the 2^nd of February 2025 at the Circuit Karting des Fagnes in Mariembourg, Belgium. The Karting Champions League Winter Series offers an exceptional opportunity for talent development in both karting and motorsport, providing a robust stepping stone for young racers. 

The Karting Champions League was set up specifically to find Europe's new racing talent. To give all the top talent a chance to prove themselves, we had to change our approach and therefore the calendar for 2024. After hearing that most talented European drivers wanted to participate but could not combine their schedules with ours, we decided to go ahead with four of the eight scheduled races.

Young Dutch karting sensation René Lammers has reached an agreement with MP Motorsport to enter the future together. The 15-year-old Zandvoort resident will compete in the Spanish F4 championship in 2024 while preparing for that this winter by racing in the Formula Winter Series in Spain.

The new Karting Champions League is proud to present the 2024 calendar. The first race weekend will be in April at Wackersdorf in Germany. This is followed by a weekend in Rudskogen in Norway in May. Then back to Germany to Mülsen, and before the summer holidays mid-July, we will travel to Spain to Valencia. After the summer the Karting Champions League will go north to Denmark to Rødby, and in the autumn we will be in France at Angerville and then to Belgium (TBC). The eighth and last race will be in (hopefully) sunny Spain in Campillos. At the end of the 2024 season, the winner of the K2 (class will race the 2025 season in the Spanish F4 championship with MP Motorsport, the initiator of the Karting Champions League.

The Karting Champions League is the new player within the karting world where its basis, arrive & drive, is unique for a championship. Everyone in each of the five classes races the same kart with the same set-up, the engines are changed every weekend and for a fixed amount per year.
