The best kart racers from all across the country are heading to Coffs Harbour this week for the final round of the 2025 SP Tools Australian Kart Championship presented by Castrol. Coffs Harbour Kart Racing Club’s C.ex Raceway will be the home of the grand finale of 2025, where future champions will lay their legacy to format their pathway forward.
While Victorian youngster Milan Sami has already secured enough points to seal the Cadet 9 title, at the other end of the scale in the pinnacle of karting - KZ2, the title is wide open. After a challenging start to his campaign, two-time KZ2 Champion Sam Dicker has rocketed back into contention with a win in the penultimate round and his sights set to becoming the first-ever three-time champion of the class.
Dicker is five points behind fellow Western Australian Dylan Guest. The two racers have had their fair share of challenges this season, and it all comes down to the chequered flag to decipher who comes out as class champion.
The stakes are high in other categories, with KA3 Senior’s lead just eight points between current leader Christian Estasy and Zac Heard. Estasy has led from the start of the Championship in Melbourne, but Heard’s consistency has ensured he’s set to battle it out on the Coffs Coast this weekend.
KA3 Junior has just an exciting points battle with just seven championship points separating Braxton Regan and Paddy Buckley from the championship title. Like his Senior counterpart, Regan has led from the start, but Buckley had some exciting pace, resulting in a very special round win to be right in with a shot at glory this weekend.
With a pair of round wins, Brodie Whitmore is in the box seat to claim the X30 title, while Jackson Souslin-Harlow is on track to finally break through for victory in the TaG 125 class after several years of being on the Championship podium. Sydneysider Liam Carr has an almost insurmountable lead in the elite junior class – KA2, while 2024 Cadet 9 Champion Oliver Williamson is in the box seat for the Cadet 12 title.
Close to 350 drivers will be competing across a total of eight categories at the event, with all States of Australia represented, along with visitors from New Zealand, Indonesia, Singapore and New Caledonia. Practice begins on Friday ahead of qualifying and the heat races on Saturday. After the completion of the heat races on Sunday morning, the finals will begin from lunchtime on Sunday.
