Orlando, Florida – Speed Concepts Racing has established itself as one of the top karting teams in North America with a resume that boasts multiple wins and championships over the last few seasons. The 2025 campaign was no different as the team added new racers to their roster throughout the year. As the third quarter comes to a close, the team is happy to announce the addition of Cash Perkins to the driver roster in the Senior ranks for the remainder of the 2025 season and into 2026.
Perkins has been karting since 2019, making his way through the Cadet, Junior and now Senior ranks at the club, regional and national level. The 16-year-old from Bristol, Wisconsin, is coming off victory at the Route 66 Sprint Series finale at his home track of Mill-Rite Raceway – home of the Badger Kart Club. Perkins finished second at the IAME USA Grand National Championship KA100 Shootout from the Trackhouse Motorplex in North Carolina to highlight his latest achievements in the sport.
“I’m excited about my move to Speed Concepts Racing,” stated Cash Perkins. “I feel this is a great opportunity to learn and develop further as a driver. Consistency is my main goal, as I want to be competing up front every weekend. Working with the Speed family and the crew at Speed Concepts Racing will help me become a better driver.”
The highlight of the 2025 season for Speed Concepts Racing was claiming the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour title in Pro X30 in July with Austin Garrison. The Florida driver has been a key component to SCR over the last few seasons and provides additional driver coaching for those under the tent. Garrison logged victories and podiums all year, as did SCR Junior drivers Ashton Woon and Travis Pettit, along with Senior driver Frankie Mossman, in the second half of the season. In 2025, SCR added Brandon Lemke to its driver roster. The former SKUSA and USPKS champion brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and will provide a great partnership with incoming Perkins.
“We are happy to welcome Cash to our team,” added Mike Speed of Speed Concepts Racing. “The Perkins family raced with us previously and are excited to return, focused on development. Cash is talented, and his most recent results have shown that. Our goal is to help fine tune his skills behind the wheel, working on and off the track to take his results to the next level.”
Speed Concepts Racing is gearing up for the final quarter of the 2025 season. This will begin with a trip to New Castle Motorsports Park for the MG Tires 200 endurance race on October 3-5, where up Lemke and Perkins will partner for the 200-lap team competition. The team will remain at the New Castle, Indiana, facility for the 2025 Race Rotax RMC US Trophy Final, where tickets to the 2025 Rotax Grand Finals in Bahrain are up for grabs. SCR then heads west to Las Vegas for the ROK Vegas event on October 28-November 2 before contesting the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals 28 on November 12-16.
