New format, same outstanding success for one of the most prestigious events in CRG’s Rental calendar: the Rental Kart World Contest. The 2025 edition of this renowned international meeting, raced with CRG Centurion karts, took place at the 7 Laghi Kart Track in Castelletto di Branduzzo, Italy, from October 17th to 19th. For this 6th edition, the race format brought back a mix of Sprint Cup and Endurance Cup, as it was in the inaugural 2016 event. Castelletto hosted the Sprint titles on Saturday — with over 100 drivers competing across Junior, Silver, and Pro categories — and the Endurance Cup on Sunday, a 6-hour race featuring 34 teams on the grid.
The Sprint Cup standings were determined by the total points earned across qualifying sessions (timed practice and two heats) and the Final, which ran over 20 minutes plus one lap.
After intense battles and plenty of action, Italo-Brazilian driver Adrian Speroni dominated the Junior class, scoring a perfect 114 points with victories in both heats and the Final. Thomas Petrulli finished second with 87 points, just two ahead of Simone Grasso, while Alessio Zacchi and Polish driver Igor Polak rounded out the top five. In the Silver category, the Hungarian national anthem played for Alex Sandor Hegedus, who sealed the win with 100 points and a fine victory in the Final. He was joined on the podium by Italians Giuseppe Cannito (85 pts) and Giuliano Ghidini (80 pts), with Francesco Cannito and Argentinian driver Facundo Casse completing the top five. In the Pro class, it was a thrilling head-to-head between Ruggero Vanni and Julien Pereira, with Vanni clinching the title on 88 points to Pereira’s 78. The Portuguese driver — who won the Final — saw his overall score affected by a technical DNF in Heat 2. Alessandro Nicali took an impressive third place, followed by French driver Simon Farigoul and Italian Bruno Colombo in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Sunday’s 6-hour Endurance race decided the Endurance Cup titles, and in the Pro category, victory went to Bartsch Racing from Poland, featuring Mateuz Bartsch, Igor Polak, and Jakub Panczyszyn.
Just 23 seconds behind after an intense and fast-paced race came Team SMO (Michele Ottini, Diego Colella, and Adrian Speroni), while Keystone 1 — with young guns Alessio Zacchi, Simone Grasso, and Thomas Petrulli — completed the podium in third place. Zena Karting secured an excellent fourth place, ahead of Keystone 2 and Bartsch Racing Academy, the second Polish team entry. Among the Pros, Team Soproni also delivered a solid performance to finish seventh, followed by Mata Racing 1 and Tec-Tav Racing. In the Silver category, the spotlight was on Team Thunderbolt Zenith (Edoardo Censi, Marco Testa, and Mattia Corbetta), who not only took the class win but also set the fastest lap of the race. Second place went to the British Mad Dog Racing squad (Olly Cooper, Charles Boniface, and Karlis Elmanis), who edged out another Thunderbolt entry led by project founder Flavio Ceci.
With over 100 drivers from more than 10 countries in the Sprint Cup and 34 teams (119 drivers total) in the Endurance Cup, the Rental Kart World Contest once again proved to be a major success both on and off the track, confirming its status among the most prestigious international events in Rental Karting. The 7 Laghi Kart Track once again showed itself to be the perfect venue for this kind of competition and has already been announced as the host of the upcoming CRG 24 Hours Karting of Italy, scheduled for March 2026. Above all, the true stars of every CRG event remain the Centurion Karts, offering all drivers a superior driving experience and exceptional reliability.
