VRD Racing will return to the GB4 Championship at Silverstone, fielding a single-car entry for rising American star Ava Dobson. The 15-year-old will make her first European racing appearance at the event, having competed in three different single-seater categories in the USA over the past year. 

Chris Dittmann Racing has confirmed that Jacob Douglas will join the team for a pair of GB3 Championship meetings, beginning with this weekend’s event at Silverstone (July 25-28).

It was a race full of twists and action in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, which this afternoon concluded the Paul Ricard round under the rain. Alessandro Giusti (ART Grand Prix) was a prophet in his own land, starting from the fifth position on the grid and, with an excellent race pace, secured an important victory.

At Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, the fifth round of the Italian F.4 Championship, Freddie Slater returned to victory this morning. After an unfortunate first day that saw him forced to retire in Race 1, the British driver of PREMA Racing bounced back to win. Strengthening his grip on the Championship, Slater made a long comeback from the fourth block of the starting grid, securing his eleventh win and a total of 265 points in the standings.

The official session at Paul Ricard for the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine was anything but straightforward, taking place first in the wet and then in the dry. Leading the pack once again was championship leader Rafael Camara (Prema Racing), who clocked the fastest time in Group A with a 1:59.245. This marks the Brazilian’s eighth pole position in the series since last year, cementing the Ferrari Driver Academy driver as one of the fastest in qualifying.

The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine is in full swing, with action resuming at the Paul Ricard circuit this weekend for the sixth of the ten double-header events scheduled for the season, just days after the Mugello races.

Elite Motorsport’s Alisha Palmowski claimed an impressive double victory at Snetterton as the fight for this year’s GB4 Championship partnered by the BRDC tightened up on Sunday.

For the second time this season, Louis Sharp has lost the GB3 Championship lead as a result of another driver’s over-zealous errors. As happened last month in the reverse grid race in Belgium, the young New Zealander again was perfectly placed to increase his points advantage in the second race in the Netherlands when his Rodin Motorsport entry was struck from behind and knocked out of the results.

Hitech Pulse Eight’s Tymek Kucharczyk and VRD Racing by Arden’s Nikita Johnson were the winners in Sunday’s races at Zandvoort. Kucharczyk regained the championship lead with his fourth win of the year in race two this morning, while Johnson celebrated his first-ever win in Europe with his race three triumph. 

Two races and two different winners at Mugello, the venue for the fifth doubleheader of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, where Tuukka Taponen (R-ace GP) and James Wharton (Prema Racing) stood on the top step of the podium.

Freddie Slater's dominance in the 2024 Italian F4 Championship continues unabated. The British driver from Prema Racing secured all three wins in the fourth round at Mugello Circuit. This brings his total to 10 wins, 7 consecutive wins, and 240 points in the standings for the driver from Stratford-upon-Avon.

The GB3 Championship, supported by the BRDC, makes its second visit to Zandvoort this weekend, following an enthralling event at the Dutch venue in October last year. All races will be broadcast fully live, with a build-up beforehand and live interviews and podium ceremonies afterwards.

Tuukka Taponen had a perfect start to the weekend, claiming his third consecutive victory in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine during the first race at Mugello. This record, previously held only by the 2021 champion Gregoire Saucy, has now been matched by the Finnish driver, who also achieved his third consecutive pole position on the Tuscan hills.
 

JHR Developments’ John Bennett enjoyed his best day in the GB3 Championship, with a double pole position in qualifying, and his second race win of the year in the opening contest this afternoon. In doing so, Bennett massively strengthened his title bid, with just 18 points now covering the top-four drivers in the current standings.

It was a perfect day for Brando Badoer as he claimed the top spot in the time sheets of both Collective Tests at Mugello, the venue for the fifth of the ten double-header rounds of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.

This evening, it was time to get serious at the Mugello Circuit for the fourth round of the Italian F.4 Championship. After two free practice sessions, qualifying took place to set the grid for the three weekend races.

Hitech Pulse-Eight’s Tymek Kucharczyk topped the times in the final test session of the week at Zandvoort on Friday afternoon, which was heavily rain affected.
