Friday at La Conca saw the completion of an intense qualifying heats programme for the opening round of the Champions of the Future season, with drivers tackling a packed schedule of races across the day. Conditions shifted multiple times throughout the morning, with intermittent rain and a constantly changing track surface forcing teams into difficult decisions.

At La Conca, when it rains, it truly pours. The 183 drivers competing in this weekend’s opening round of the Champions of the Future season experienced exactly that today, as heavy rain created extremely challenging conditions throughout.

In 2026, the series opens at World Circuit La Conca from 1 to 4 March. The 1,250 metre circuit, also known to the paddock as Muro Leccese, sits in the province of Lecce in South Eastern Italy, just a short drive from the Adriatic coast. Known for its stone craftsmanship and deep-rooted history, the surrounding town provides stunning surroundings for a weekend of elite racing with 188 talents.

The season’s most important event for the OK and OK Junior categories concluded at the Kristanstad circuit in Sweden. After last year’s OK title in England, the CRG Racing team arrived in Sweden ready to fight for top results again. Despite strong pace throughout the weekend, the decisive step for a podium finish in Sunday’s Finals was just missing.

The biggest event of the season for the OK and OK Junior classes is just around the corner: from Thursday, September 11 to Sunday, September 14, the FIA World Championship will light up the Kristianstad track in Sweden.

On the Kristianstad circuit, the long preparation begins for the FIA World Championship OK and OK Junior, scheduled from September 11 to 14. After the test sessions held in August and last weekend, from today until Sunday the 7th, the 5th round of the Champions of The Future is on the program—a race that will exactly replicate the format of the World Championship.

Viktor Gustavsson won the Final in the OK category ahead of his teammate Davide Bottaro, securing a fantastic one-two finish.

The engines are turned on today for the first free practice sessions on the Campillos circuit where the 1st round of the Champions of the Future series for the OK and OK Junior categories is scheduled for Saturday. This Series will take place over 5 rounds and will follow the same calendar as the FIA European Championship and will end on the eve of the FIA World Championship on the Kristianstad track, Sweden. For this reason, it represents a great test in preparation for the FIA events, also because, unlike other international meetings, it is run with the same tyres.

The CRG Racing Team and Ethan Jeff-Hall are the 2024 World Champions of the OK category, the top direct drive class. The event, the most prestigious and important of the international season, was held in England at the PF International Circuit from September 12th to 15th. This circuit has always been a battlefield for English drivers and this year too was no exception, with an all-English podium in OK and an English winner in Junior. For the CRG colours, this prestigious success enriches our wall of fame in FIA events, bringing the world titles won to 25.

The 2nd Round of the FIA ​​Karting European Championship - OK & Junior which took place in France on the Val D'Argenton track also saw the CRG Racing Team among the main protagonists of the event. The OK top-class drivers took part and played a leading role, once again led by Gabriel Gomez. The Brazilian was constantly among the fastest on the track and after the qualifying phases, he obtained P5 on the starting grid for the Final. Louis Iglesias also confirmed himself to be very competitive, conquering P12 on the grid for the Final, just as Mark Dubnitski, Tom Dussol, Davide Bottaro and Markas Silkunas entered the top 36, confirming the competitiveness of the CRG Factory Team. Jindrich Pesl from the Serafini team also joined the 6 CRG finalists.
 

With 17 registered drivers, the CRG Racing Team will be one of the largest and most competitive teams in the 2nd Round of the FIA ​​European OK and OKJ Championship scheduled from April 25 to 28 on the Val D'Argenton track. After his win in the OK category in the opening race of the Championship in Spain, Gabriel Gomez is the leader of the standings and in France he will try to pull ahead of his rivals.

Time to get back on track for the international direct drive categories OK and OK Junior for the 2nd Round of the Champions of The Future scheduled this week on the Val D'Argenton track, in France. The Kalì Kart Racing Team is pleased to welcome Sam Woolley who will join the team for the OK Junior category. The English driver was born in Urmstom, Manchester in September 2010 and began racing go-karts at the age of 8 in the Mini categories, achieving many notable results at national level. His first international experiences were made in the X30 Junior category in which, at the beginning of this season, he won the Hivern Cup Spain and obtained P2 in the Winter Cup of Valencia.
