The 2019 FIA ​​Karting World Championship - OK and Junior will take place in Finland from 6th to 8th September at the Alahärmä Powerpark circuit. A much-anticipated event for this country of motorsport enthusiasts, the major world event promises to be full of suspense on a spectacular and fast track with a big field of more than 200 Drivers, gathering the best talents from 44 nations on five continents.

The summer break is over for Alex Irlando who returns on his direct-drive BirelART in Alahärmä, Finland, to prepare the FIA Karting OK World Championship.

The young Moroccan driver Suleiman Zanfari surprised everyone by winning the Swedish OK-Junior Championship at Kristianstad on the last weekend of July. The meeting had started with average results in Qualifying, but Suleiman and his team were able to recover the situation in the rain in the Prefinal before concluding with another victory after a hard fight in the dry Final.

The Tony Kart Racing Team drivers express themselves at best on the track in Le Mans during the last round of the OK and OKJ European Championship, always fighting for the very first positions.

A 14-year-old Brazilian, Rafael Câmara has a passion for racing. He is currently competing at the highest level of world karting in FIA Karting competitions. After early beginnings in his native country, he moved to Europe to make progress alongside the top drivers. He is preparing to move into the top category of karting next year before thinking about his future in motorsport.

Selected by tender to supply tyres to the drivers in the OK category of the 2019 FIA ​​Karting European Championship, the manufacturer LeCont perfectly fulfilled the mission that the CIK-FIA entrusted them with. Throughout the four Grand Prix Kart races in France (twice), in Belgium and Sweden, sporting fairness has prevailed. The very high standard of competition gave rise to magnificent battles and suspense that held until the end, on the very demanding international circuit of Le Mans.

With a top international program, karter Thomas ten Brinke has had an intense and successful first half of the season in the prestigious OK Junior class. The fourteen-year old talent from Zeddam can look back on a number of podium places in various championships, of which the third position overall in the FIA Karting European championship and the second place in the WSK Euro Series are the most impressive so far. This promises something more for the second half of the season.

During the final round of the FIA European Karting Championship, Kas Haverkort won a hard-fought sixth place in the OK class. On the circuit of Le Mans, the 15-year old Team NL talent drove five very strong heats, with which he was able to set himself up with P5 on the start grid for the final. Haverkort even had the prospect of a podium finish until the middle of the race, but had to surrender some positions in the closing stages. He eventually seized sixth place in the extremely competitive field, thereby once again showing his talent and fighting spirit.

The 2019 European season ended in France on the Le Mans circuit with a very successful performance from the official Parolin Racing Kart team and its #1 driver Gabriele Minì in OK, while James Wharton secured a very convincing top five in OK-Junior. Race after race, Parolin affirms its advantageous position among the best thanks to its extremely effective chassis in all conditions.

A new win this weekend for Andrea Kimi Antonelli, the young kart driver from Bologna in the team Rosberg Racing Academy, with Kart Republic material supplied directly by Mercedes and with the supervision of Giovanni Minardi of Minardi Management.

Alex Irlando concludes 19^th a tough weekend in Le Mans that makes him slip to P16 in the general standing. Not the weekend he was expecting for: the last time Alex Irlando raced on the French track he won the CIK-FIA Endurance Championship, whilst this time he had to settle for 19^th after an impressive comeback in the final.

In the wake of his podium finish at the Swedish Grand Prix at Kristianstad, Luigi Coluccio again raised the colours of the Birel ART brand in the Final of the European OK Championship. On the prestigious international circuit of Le Mans, the young Italian was in the fight to integrate once again the coveted top three, when a cruel accident put an end to his performance a few tens of metres from the finish. Coluccio and Birel ART will most definitely be planning to take revenge at the World Championship in September.

It was not until the last Final of the season that the FIA Karting European Champions - OK & Junior 2019 were decided. Strategy was at the heart of the Le Mans Competition where the battles were numerous and spectacular. The 2018 OK World Champion Lorenzo Travisanutto won his first European title, while the youngster Marcus Amand was crowned Junior European Champion to close a particularly tough weekend.

In this temple of motorsport, the Automobile Club de l'Ouest has built state-of-the-art facilities surrounding a fast track, conducive to slipstreaming and tight clashes up until the last lap.

The original situation generated by Qualifying Practice, combined with the importance of this final Competition of the FIA ​​Karting European Championship - OK & Junior, increased the pressure on Saturday, 20th July on the Le Mans circuit.
