The 7th entry list for the Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Championship - OK & OK-Junior in Sarno is back to the highest levels that were recorded in 2018. More than 200 drivers from 49 nations are registered for this world event, which will take place in Italy from 15th to 18th September to close a brilliant 2022 season. The attractiveness of the Circuito Internazionale Napoli has not waned over time and the current version of the Sarno track, 1550 m long, is very challenging.

September is the month of the Karting World Championships and after the amazing Le Mans weekend at the beginning of the month, in which CRG won the FIA ​​World Championship KZ and the KZ2 World Cup, this week from 14^th to 18^th September on the Sarno track will take place the FIA ​​World Championship for the OK & OK Junior direct drive classes. All the best international karting drivers will compete for the titles that can open the doors to motorsport for them and guarantee a very important showcase from a sporting and commercial point of view to chassis and engine manufacturers. 93 drivers in the OK category and 111 in the Junior category will take part in the event, representing 49 different countries.

Australia will have its largest contingent of drivers at the FIA World Karting Championship this weekend with eight drivers lining up across the OK and OK-Junior categories in Sarno, Italy. With James Courtney being victorious in the corresponding event in 1997, this weekend’s event marks 25 years since Australia’s last victory at the FIA World Karting Championship.

Lorenzo Travisanutto, winner of the 2021 KZ2 International Super Cup, has completed his first season in the world's elite KZ category in fine style. At the wheel of a very competitive Parolin-TM Racing package, he reached 8th position in the Final of the World Championship held in France at Le Mans.

The Italian Cristian Bertuca achieved the best result of the team by taking the second step of the podium in the KZ2 World Cup. After an excellent first half of the season marked by several victories and a brilliant European Championship, the Sodi Racing Team has started its preparation for the FIA Karting World Championship - OK-Junior that will take place in September in Sarno. The Italian circuit hosted a WSK Euro Series event from 29th to 31st July and, in the presence of an impressive 83 drivers, the French team and British driver Nathan Tye took 3rd place in the Final at the end of a highly informative meeting.

Jimmy Helias has just finished his first full European campaign in OK-Junior, a category in which he’s part of the strongest world hopes at the age of only 13! He has made rapid consistent progress to the point that the young Frenchman was battling for the podium in the final event of the FIA European Karting Championship in Italy after clinching a spectacular pole position! Two weeks earlier the official Tony Kart driver celebrated his first top-five finish in Junior in the Champions of the Future Euro Series.

The first karts equipped with OK-N engines took to the track during an official demonstration run at the final round of the FIA Karting European Championship - OK and OK-Junior in Franciacorta (ITA) on July 7.
