The competition was already proving to be intense, as the close gaps between the fastest drivers showed. David Walther (DNK) confirmed his reputation for speed by taking the Junior pole position, while Gabriel Gomez (BRA) achieved an accomplishment by winning in OK against the most experienced drivers.

The final round of this year’s Champions of the Future series took place in the sunny Campillos, on the South of Spain, next to Malaga. A record number of drivers took part in the event, with over 60 OK drivers in attendance and the Juniors even exceeding 100 drivers! The OK category was absolutely dominated by Nikola Tsolov from the Qualifying Practice all the way till the final, with the Bulgarian talent being practically unbeatable. In Junior it looked to be a similar case with David Walther, but in the final Enzo Deligny found that little extra necessary to clinch the victory!

Whether in the official Birel ART Racing Team or in the Leclerc by Lennox Racing Team, the Birel ART chassis confirmed their excellent competitiveness in Kristianstad. Already on the podium of the European KZ2 Championship in 2021, the Sodikart chassis has just followed up with another Vice-Championship title, this time at world level. Perfectly supported by the CPB Sport team, Senna Van Walstijn achieved a great performance, moving up from 11th to 2nd place in the FIA Karting International Super Cup at Kristianstad. The Dutchman took pole position and set the lap record in the Final, and came very close to victory in Sweden.
