After a successful launch in Spain, the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championships - OK and OK-Junior - will continue at the circuit in southern Portugal for a second meeting that promises plenty of intensity and spectacle from 1st to 4th May. A total of 232 drivers are racing in these three categories at Portimao.

A few weeks after a very successful trip to Campillos, the teams using equipment from the Kart Republic factory perfectly mastered the specifics of the Algarve international circuit in Portimao and those of Maxxis tyres. The second round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series ended with an impressive domination by the KR-IAME teams. Brilliantly supported by their teams, with their recognised skills and professionalism, the drivers went on to successfully complete their mission in several instances. Italy's Iacopo Martinese in OK and Great Britain's Noah Baglin in OK-Junior won the Finals, which saw two trebles for the Italian brand.

On the Algarve international circuit in southern Portugal, excellent weather conditions accompanied the large number of entrants in Round 2 of the Champions of the Future Euro Series. 92 drivers in OK and 88 in OK-Junior, making a magnificent field of 180 entrants, put in an incredible performance over three days, guaranteeing a long and gripping thriller. Noah Baglin (OK-Junior) and Iacopo Martinese (OK) won the Finals in Portimao with flying colours, Henry Domain took the overall lead in the 12-14 age group, while Martinese is now the leader in OK.

Since its creation in 2010, the FIA Karting Academy Trophy has established itself as a unique detection and training programme for young drivers from all over the world. Based on the principles of sporting fairness and accessibility, each year it brings together talented drivers from over 50 nations, all using identical equipment supplied by the FIA in partnership with OTK Kart Group.

In 2025, IPKarting will rely on its extremely competitive chassis brands - Formula K, Praga, OK1, RS Kart and Tillotson - but also on a renowned Racing Team which has been reorganised during the off-season and which its managers are pleased to officially present.

The Birelart Racing Team got the FIA Karting European OK and OK-Junior Championship off to a flying start at Campillos. Although the final results did not fully reflect the potential seen on track, the performances nevertheless highlighted the quality of the preparation and the cohesion of the team.

With the Prema Racing team and IAME engines, KR chassis dominated the first of four rounds of the FIA Karting European Championships in OK and OK-Junior. At Campillos in Spain, the results of the two Finals spoke for themselves: Noah Baglin won brilliantly in the youngest category ahead of his team-mate Dean Hoogendoorn and James Anagnostiadis triumphed in OK, while Dries Van Langendonck secured a second double for the Kart Republic factory.
